Decent College with Average Placement

Tag of IIM, Lower fees and average placement. IIM Bodh gaya is decent college as compare to other 3rd generation IIMs, it is running in temporary campus but hostel facility are good with most of them are single occupancy. Admission process is good with opportunity like SAP in which with little lower marks as compare to CAP you can get call for PI. No GD is involved in admission process and same apply to most of IIMs. College in outskirts of Gaya and near Bodh Gaya with green campus. Permeant campus is going to inaugurate in month of November 2022.

Course Curriculum is decent as same as other IIMs. Academics is more of grade orientated as relative grading of normal distribution curve is used and seating in placement is mainly focused on grads as calculation of composite score. If you have work ex and its good else it is going to create pressure for placements with lower composite score. Faculties are good but yes most of them are assistant professor so they lack certain experience in teaching but overall its up to you how you take most out from them.

Average Placement i will say it. Lot of things related to placements are undisclosed and less transparency. Company do come but most of them are startups so lot of opportunity are in line of sale or business development role. 80 to 85 students got placement from college and other opt out as they get better opportunity from outside.

With respect to fees of other 3rd generation IIMs, the fees is lower which was 1075000 for batch of 2020-22 but now they have increased it to 13 lakhs which is almost same as of other IIMs. Mess chargers are not included and it roughly take 5000 per month. If you have any category then you will have various options for Scholarship. Financial assistance is there called NBFA.

Campus is good with lot of space but its temporary and running in Magadh University which is some how not good. IIM BG have lot of clubs and committee and more than 50% of students are part of at-least one club or committee. Badminton, Cricket and TT are most loved sport in campus and at evening you will find people enjoying it. Academic books are available in library.

The courses at IIM BG are residential which means you have to stay in campus only. Hostel are good with dedicated boys and girls hostel and mostly single occupancy. Each building have its own Mess counter. Meal quality is good with 4 times in day availability.
