Remarks

The main reason to choose DFS was having a knack for finance and ROI. After joining I knew I made a good desicion because here from the 1st sem throughtout MBA we have core finance courses. We have had few of the best faculty here even Alums from IIM A etc.The admission process for DFS wasn't complex as opposed to most of the top tier Colleges. Pagalguy is the best forum to ask our team anything regarding the admission process.

Course Curriculum Overview

Faculty to student ratio is around 1:5 which is one of the best in the industry. We have few of the best Faculty here as there are alums from IIM A and other top B-Schools. The course curriculum is totally finance specific. If the student is into Finance, DFS is undoubtedly the best in the industry.

Class Size: 50Course Fees: INR 20000 per year

Internships Opportunities

Right now I am doing an internship but it hasn't started yet. So I don't have any experience in this regard.

Placement Experience

The batches here have had 100% placements every year. The recruiters are limited to the finance industry, so we may have less companies. But, the quality of recruiters and the package they offer are really good as they are some of the top players in the Finance sector. After studying all semesters in finance, students opt for mostly finance jobs so the cmpus brings mainly finance companies. If the students are interested in profiles other than finance, the placement committee provides assistance for them to find suitable jobs for them.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fees is very liberal when compared to other colleges. There are also scholarships for CFA level 1 based on merit. The internship and placement oppurtunities are really good. We get offers from big players like Arcesium and EY.

Campus Life

Till now we haven't been to campus yet due to the pandemic. But as far as online classes are concerned, they are really interactive and great. There are a few clubs offline but right now they are not active due to the semester being online. Although, there are various committees functioning online to help develop ourselves and the college.

Hostel Facilities

Till now we haven't had the chance to go to college and therefore we haven't had a chance to enjoy hostel or campus life. There are limited seats to the hostel and local Delhi NCR candidates are not eligible to apply for hostel. But we hear that there are good affordable PGs nearby.

Placement Experience:

Placements of my college are average when compared with other B-schools of similar level. The companies which have visited so far for internships are mostly start ups like Wealth Blue and Outlook, but some other companies like ITC, Bajaj Capital and Coca Cola moon beverages have also come on campus. The highest stipend promised so far is 15,000 for 3 months or 10,000 per month for 2 months. A lot of students are yet to be placed, both for final and summer placements. My plan is also to get a job post my PGDM.

Compass provide a place the highest package our were born is 20 lakhs per annum from the Fite department and the average placement gets around 8 to 10 laks and the minimal is7-8 lakhs. The placement is good in sales and finance department. Most of the companies comes for sales and Management. You can also offer for the finance.

Good opportunity in JIMS

Placement Experience:

From 4th trimester onwards that if from August onwards after coming back from 3 months summer internships, companies come for placements and students can apply to the companies. The companies that visited campus are DELOITTE, KPMG, ACCENTURE,TCS, RANDSTAD,ICICI,SBI, MOTILAL OSWAL, BAJAJ, ASIAN PAINTS, ADITYA BIRLA, BLACKROCK, GRIDLINES etc. and many more. The highest package of our batch went for 24 lakhs( Oman based company) , average went around- 7-8 lakhs , lowest - 4.5-5 lakhs. Profiles offered- Sales head, operational manager, Deputy branch manager, Junior Analyst, Analyst, HR - talent acquisition team , underwriting team etc. Right now more than 80% of students have gotten placed and rest are in the placement process which will be till April. I have been placed in ICICI LOMBARD for Underwriting and Claims process and will be joining the company soon.

MBA experience at DFS

The college is very famous for people who want to build their career in Finance domain and I was one of them so, I choose to take admission at DFS. The good aspect of the college is the college life and the fee structure which is so less that one doesn't have to be burdened about the loans for education purpose. The admission process involves, qualifying CAT and then going through group discussion, finally clearing a personal interview round will get you admission at DFS. The main reason for preferring this college was the less fee and specialisation in finance. We cannot really differentiate between DFS and other private institution management the office bearers, faculties are really helpful the only shortcoming of DFS is that infrastructures sometimes we need to share the seminar room with other departments. The classrooms are Non A.C.But quality of education, guidance we get after bearing only twelve thousand per annum is really unmatched.There are people who leave IIMs and join DFS only to get value education.The writer here has left 6 IIMs (obviously not the older ones) to join DFS....Read More
