Entrance Preview
I took SRMJEE to join SRM university. I am a civil student with B.Tech here. For civil engineering SRM is considered the best college all over India Also it is one of the best in all private colleges. So i choose SRM as my preference. I had options for all the private colleges and B.arch in NID also but SRM is the college which I preferred. No there were no interview process for getting admitted.
Course Curriculum Overview
The course which i choose is one of the basic and core of engineering. It is also called as the mother of engineering i.e. Civil. Yes, here the course is been taught very very fruitfully. Also it has got many computer and hand related drawings which are taught here with all the information required. In field of research also the labs are well equipped with the instruments required .
Internships Opportunities
SRM university has a record of all most 100% campusing. And the most all over India many companies come here for placement process. For civil the largest company in India LNT comes for giving placement here to the B.tech students . Also companies like TCS and others come for placement processes.
Placement Experience
Placement is very very high here. All the renowned and big companies cone for the same. Job opportunities increase a lot after getting a degree from SRM university.
College Events
Techno management fest which is the most famous here is the fest called AARUSH. All the entertainment are present here. The second one is the biggest cultural fest called MILAN .
Fee Structure And Facilities
The fee structure is not expensive as per the facilities provided. The fee for engineering is 2 lacks per annum and 1 lack for the hostel. The fee here is the cheapest among almost all the private universities in India. A middle class can afford it very nicely.
Fees and Financial Aid
The SRM has got many scholarship programmes. These are based according to the GPA's or any special achievements by the students. Educational loan is also been provided here for those who wish to avail by submitting required documents.
Campus Life
Gender ratios are good here with no. of people equally balanced. Parties like musical night ,road shows ,dj nights are also organised to make everyone stress free. Many clubs are also organised like the anti ragging committee etc which are very helpful in resisting the cons that may be produced in a campus .
Admission
First of all i gave SRMJEE with preparations for it. I qualified there and got a call for the counselling process. I came to SRM kattankulathur campus for the counselling process. Here we had counselling where we were to submit the requirements as mentioned by the college and select our stream. After that before the start of the session I came to submit further requirements and got admitted.
Faculty
The faculty are the best in case of my subject and branch as i dont know for other branch. Mostly they are qualified from top IIT's. They teach with the best possible way they can I heard a lot of rumours about not teaching fairly by the professors and all in colleges. But after coming here it got completely wrong. All the professors teach with great enthusiasm and also give extra time for letting us understand and discuss.
