Remarks
I completed my BSc in Physics in one of the govt colleges in Odisha. But after that, I suddenly decided to switch my career to some different. I joined MBA in Pondicherry University by giving an all India entrance examination. I got my seat without any quota. The admission process was really simple. Staffs of my department were helpful.
Course Curriculum Overview
Basically, I had dreamt of a career of having a corporate 9-5 job. That's the sole reason for switching my career from a really unknown field. Faculties in PU are very helpful and generous. They all are well qualified to have NET, PhD and atleast 10 years of experience. There are three exams per semester per paper. 2 internals and 1 end semester. Each happens with a certain gap.
Internships Opportunities
University itself doesn't provide any internships to students. But they help students to get their internship during the vacations. Many companies offer internships to students throughout the country. Students pursuing their last semester are given to do some projects which further helps during the placements and other interviews too.
Placement Experience
From the 3rd semester, students are eligible for sitting in placements. Banks like ICICI, HDFC, Axis, South Indian, bank of Baroda etc comes to hire students on different specialization. Similarly, private companies also come to the campus for hiring students. Nearly 70% of students get hired by those companies. Ya, I got selected in ICICI Bank as a sales manager but not yet joined.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fees structure in Pondicherry university is a bit high as compared to other universities. I just wrongly mentioned in the 1st step about the fees 17000 but no for MBA, it's around 40000 pardon me. And university scholarship is funded to the meritious students at the end of each semester.
Campus Life
The annual fest happens in every department. Libraries are just wow. They consist of every book and journal. The classrooms are well furnished. Benches and air-conditioned room. Extracurricular activities also happen in the university. Each state students have their own clubs which distinctly show their culture and history.
Hostel Facilities
The registration and admission process for the hostels are too easy. The staff helped me in completing these processes. And one wants to stay outside the campus there are few flats and rented room are also available in Kalapet which is less than 2 Kms from university.
