Entrance Preview
I appeared for the CAT and i got 80.28% ile in CAT 2013 for me MBA is only option i am commerce graduate i choose this college because of college fees and second thing this is government institute and obviously NIT is a brand name fees of this college is around 2.5 lacs for 2 years.
Course Curriculum Overview
Course structure of college is average, neither good nor bad faculty of this college is average. In terms of qualification of faculty all are phd holder from different university like IIT Mumbai, IIT Kharagpur, University of Hyderabad, NITK itself, Mysore University, University of Calicut and mangalore University but it limits to PHD only masters and bachelor degree is from Hyderabad University mangalore University mysore University and University of Calicut.
Internships Opportunities
Yes our college provide internship but only few students got internship from our batch and rest have their own contacts yes some student got paid internship on campus and off campus companies like Grey Spring, Volvo, Money 4 drive and off campus companies are SBI, Canara Bank, Shriram life Insurance, Tonguestun, BHEL, Indian Oil, TATA motors, HDFC bank, Refonte, Dalal Times and Coporation Bank and average stipend is around 10000.
Placement Experience
In terms of placements NITK 2013 15 batch out of 26, 20 got placed and remaining 6 were refused to take job comapnies like Robert Bosch, Practo, Oracle, Infiniti Research, Quest Global, Capital via, Axis Bank, Tonguestun, TCS, Mindtree, Metal and Future First average package offer by these companies were 4.5 lacs, highest package was 8.5 lacs and lowest package was 4 lacs.
College Events
Discussion on Technical, cultural and managemant fevistal i would like say that our college fest and management festival at national level and participants are from different colleges of India and mostly are from Karnataka itself.
Fee Structure And Facilities
Talking about the fee structure of NITK fees is less as compared to other B schools hostels room were good and facilities were good but sometimes there is problem like power cut in hostel and also no water in hostel and mess food is worst college have 8 mess but none of them provide wheat chapati they used to serve maida chapati and masala in vegetables is too high. Some of students have loose motion after eating food food quality is totally bad bad bad.
Fees and Financial Aid
I not heard about any scholarship for obc and general category students but college have scholarship for sc/st students i don't have full details about sc/st scholarship yes loan facility is available to pay fees.
Campus Life
Since the total number of student is more than 4000 including B.Tech, MCA, MBA, M.Tech and M.sc so there are students from different background, different state, different culture, religion so here it is mix of culture and diversity gender ratio is low and workshop, debate competition held at regular basis college have engineers in which students conduct different types of competition at national level and also prize distribution is there.
Alumni/Alumna
Yes alumni and our Senior are very helpful iteraction with senior helped us to make sense about the college and its grading system, placements and faculties when we were in 1st year.
