Awesome campus and place to study

I applied for many NITs based on my rank but kept MNIT at first position because of home state. I didn't avail any quota. my marks was 214/360 in JEE main 2012. admission process was smooth. I was told to report the nearest NIT which was MNIT only then after final allocation I took the admission. Hostel was not given as my residence came under 15 km.

I chose mechanical engineering as I have keen interest towards mechanical items. I didn't want any circuit branch back then. All the permanent faculties are highly qualified and experienced in their field. They will support you and give recommendation to any foreign universities if you need. There was one mid term and one end term exam. Exams most of the time were within syllabus and was not difficult to pass. In some subjects, guest faculty may teach which does not have more experience.

I got my internship opportunity at Jindal Steel and was offered role as Intern. Some of my friends got intership at TATA motors and they got the edge at placement. some students convert it into PPO (Pre placement offer).

Students are eligible to sit in placement only after completing 6th sem. for internship students are allowed to sit after 4th sem. There are many companies like TATA, HERO, MAHINDRA, BAJAJ, L&T, SCHAEFFLER, DELOITTE,VEDANTA, CAIRN, IGL (PSU) etc. Each company takes around 3-4 students depend upon their requirements. highest package in mechanical remains around 12-14 LPA while in CS it is around 30 LPA. Average package in mechanical is around 6-7 LPA. most of the students got placed during placement season. Some students intentionally opt out from placement due to preparation for GATE/ESE or for higher study. Percentage of placed students remain at 85-90 %.

back in 2013-2017, we used to pay 53000 per annum for college fees (w/o hostel & mess charges) but sooner the fee hike was imposed. I received CM higher study scholarship during my study period and got selected in L&T.

Annual test and tech fest are conducted. Library is computerized and decent. You will get most of the books/journals related to course curriculum and of your interest too. VLTC is newly made lecture classroom which is biggest in whole Asea. Modern class room and sitting chair is available. Sports as indoor and outdoor activities are available.
