Overall good college except food everything is good here it is usually hot here you can always go for it.
Entrance Preview
JEE mains I chose this college because it is one of the best colleges in the country, and I would be able to compete against some of the brightest minds.
Course Curriculum Overview
The course curriculum is descent. It teaches us whatever is required and makes us equipped to deal with problems to come up in any situation. But at the same time I think it is a little old and needs to be revised. Modern techniques and books should be added.
Internships Opportunities
Yes it provides internship to other college students. For nitk students several companies come to campus for taking interns, but it is limited. And yes stipend is there. It varies from company to company.
Placement Experience
It is quite good almost all the people get placed somewhere or the other but i feel software related jobs are more these days, so most of the companies focus on those branches only and the core students are left with not much option.
College Events
Events are really good all of them are really good and worth attending. Tech events also have several fun events which is good. The main events are really good and the college spends a lot, most of which comes from sponsors.
Fee Structure And Facilities
Feasible per sem around 70k so every year 1.4 lakhs 4 years - 5.6 lakhs which is great i feel keeping in mind the facilities we get here. and this is a govt college so that is the reason why it is less compared to others.
Fees and Financial Aid
There are many scholarships but you need to score a good pointer to get those. Plus there are many scholarships for sc/st students.
Hostel Facilities
Mess food sucks if you are a foodie, this is not the college for you it is too bad half of the time, we eat out if you are form around here somewhere, then you may like it, but otherwise it is bad hostels are good they are new and are clean.
Alumni/Alumna
Ya kind of helpful but can be better seniors give good advice but the network isn't strong enough.
Exam Structure
It is hectic. Generally classes would be there from 8-2, generally. And we give quite a few exams. Each subject has two internal exams, atleast 2 surprise tests, one mid-sem and one end-sem. So each subject has around 6 exams. And you have 6 subjects generally. so 36 exams in a sem.
Admission
We had fill our choices in order and then they allotted us the branch and college according to our rank. The process was centralized for all NITs and some other state colleges as well. There were several rounds to ensure the process was smooth.
Faculty
Faculty is again descent. Most of the time they are available, if you want to ask something. But some of the faculty lack experience and some just do not create enough interest among students while teaching. But you can always learn on your own and ask whatever you want.
