A journey worth sharing

I completed my Diploma in Automobile Engineering in mid of 2018 and I took admission to YCCE. I applied for college's like Ramdev baba but cut that year so high and I'm not able to breakthrough through. Another reason is choosing this college itself located in Nagpur and also it's an autonomous college accredited by Rashtra Sant Tukadoji Maharaj University Nagpur and NAAC's certified college. The admission process is as simple as taking admission in diploma no difficulty in the admission process. I availed general quota and every year cut off increases.

I selected the Mechanical branch where I've personal interest. Talking about faculty like it's 24 professors are in the Mechanical branch as a teaching position (lecture+practical). In my class, we're almost 80-85 students sitting in a class and it's a really harsh reality of this college as we are not able to understand what the teacher is teaching. All the teachers are well-qualified let's say everyone is MBA/PhD holder. Yet every teacher has his own teaching skills/ways. Getting be pass is a really easy task here but when your aim is to score then everything becomes a tough competition.

From after or at the end of the 3rd year/6th semester we'll have to complete one aptitude course as aptitude/reasoning, etc as it helps students cracks APTI. Companies like more than 20 IT companies visited in college and hardly 2-3 core companies came. The highest package was 6 lacs and a minimum of 2 lacs for various its companies. 50-60% students placed in companies. My plan was to get placed in core company but due to pandemic placement activities are crashed too far. Now I'm preparing for government jobs.

Talking about fees like when I was in college fees were approximately 1,40,000/year and if you have a quota then it a really relaxing in terms of fees. For sc/st, the fee is 2000/year and for obc fee is like 70-80,000/year after filling scholarship form. Due to the pandemic situation, there's only it companies came for placement drive and hardly 1-2 core companies come and selected 2 students per company.

An annual fest like Mechnova and mesa's event happening in every year and happen in the month of January. The books availability is okay but it must be increased in terms of service. As if you've to have one book then go and search and just issue ASAP. Because slots are less as compared to students ratio to Book. In the classroom, proper lighting is available but fans are not in operable condition and the projector is too. There's an Instagram page run by college students named YCCE official and YCCE College.
