Remarks

I had applied to KES SHROFF college, Mithibai College & NM college. I got admission under GUJARATI QUOTA. The staff was very good, they helped me to arrange the document properly additionally they were kind to students. The minimum percentage to get admission is 86% in Nm college.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

As I'm doing CA so doing BCom was much easier with CA as the whole syllabus is covered in it. There are around 4 professors for a bunch of 100 students. Most of the teachers are CA as well. Exams in NM COLLEGE are terrifically difficult.

Internships Opportunities

3.5

As mentioned earlier JSW & KPMG were the companies in which I was selected for an interview. The package for JSW is 50000 p.a & KPMG is 65000 p.a for Freshers like me. I had to do work of Accounting / Financing for the respective companies. The projects offered were data management & working in TALLY software, the outcome was to get the financial records tallied. And post all the entries on the computer properly.

Placement Experience

4.5

From the 5th semester we are eligible for campus placement. Jindal Steel Pvt (JSW) & KPMG were the companies visited & I got an offer from Jindal Steel. JSW offered a package of 50000 per annum as a starting salary which would increase by 10000 every year after as per my work efficiency whereas, KPMG offered 65000 packages. 60-65% of students do get the placement from the College itself. I'm pursuing CA with BCom , so I'll complete my Ca Finals after completing the degree.

Fees and Financial Aid

A nominal of 6000 is charged as fees in my BCOM course. Students getting scholarships can get up to 85% off on the fees. Even during this covid, the fees didn't decrease it was the same. The Name of the scholarship in my college was NM scholarship welfare. We get placement in BIG 4. We directly get into interview due to merger with NM College, the basic salary is 50000 per month.

Campus Life

3.5

Yes, we Students do have a social group, named scout & guide. We NMITES have an Instagram page named students_higher_court. Where the Admin shares funny memes related to our college. Currently, we don't have a website developed by students. We have AC in our classroom so that we feel comfortable. We do have a court for basketball & cricket. We run FEST namely, KSHITIJ & UMANG that are famous all across Mumbai.

Other Applied Colleges

NMIMS | MBA

Its the most famous College in mumbai & we can get good placement

Placement Experience:

At TCSC placements are quite good as anyone. Even the SOBO colleges and Mithibai don't have placements as good as us. So this is why I always dreamt of studying here because since last 6-7 years, Thakur College placements have gone better and higher.

The good thing is that the college was not strict and was never forcing us to study rather it was seeing to it that it gave us proper advice and help us reach more towards my career goal. The bad part would be there were may staff which was very dull and was not kind, and no importance was given to correct their behaviour although it was evident by all.
