Piece of information about my college

I had applied to many colleges under KCET top priority was NMAMIT followed by My present college. But the cut-off for NMAMIT was below 10k and my rank was around 30K. Hence, I got my second preferred college which is my present. I got a Data science branch under general Quota and the Cut-off for my branch was 50K under General and 80K under OBC Qouta. The Minimum Age is 17+ to join the course and Must have Cleared 12th with passing marks. Talking about my present college admission process is asper KCET. Documents required During admission are: > 10th Marks card (Original + 4 Copies ) > 12th Marks card (Original + 4 Copies) > Admission letter from KCET (4 copies with dully signed ) > KCET Result sheet > 5 Passport Size Photo (Red Background)

I am currently pursuing a B.E in data science, Data science is a new branch launched in the year 2020. Since This is a new branch here course curriculum and activities are yet to be discovered. The reason why I choose this course because this course has more to do with mathematics and statistics. This course is useful in upcoming years as this is used in AI and ML works and also Required by many industries to improve their productivity and understand customer requirements. Our branch Has a total of 60 capacities and the Faculty to student ratio is Scattered after Launching new branch but they are hiring to provide us the best facility. The teaching method is good and Some lecturers have already adopted google classrooms for sharing notes, assignments, Q and As, etc. All the Faculties have Master degrees and Most of them are pursuing Ph.D. Exams are not very tough and Internal exams are in the first week of Every month total 3 internals and one external at the end of each semester.

There are many companies that provide internships for students and those opportunities are informed to students via college mail such as an internship at network security at CID Karnataka, a Graphic Design internship at skill vertex, college ambassador Microsoft, GitHub, etc. Some internships such as internships from Edtech paying 4k per month to interns and many more. Projects are based on what you are up for like if you are a graphic designer or UI/UX designer your project will be to redesign a website and also to make it more user-friendly by reducing so many buttons, etc.

College Has a huge amount of placement records Since more than 160 companies have visited our college and more than 600+ students got placed. Many Companies visit every year like Infosys, IBM, Cohesity, Cognizant, Capgemini, etc. Top companies like Google, Microsoft, Amazon, Adobe, etc have also visited our college and offered profiles like Software engineer, etc. The highest package was 40+ lakhs from Adobe and 40lakhs from Cohesity and Microsoft respectively in the year 2020. Students become eligible in the 7th semester itself for campus placements. Some companies like IBM, Infosys, and Cognizant hire in the bulk of 100, etc. My plan after getting a degree is to work as a data scientist or Data analyst in one of the leading companies. I am assured of getting placed Because our college has an average of 80 percent placement guarantee.

Our college has majorly two modes of admission one is through KCET and another is management / Comedk. If admission is through KCET there are different Fee structures for Different category people. For general it is around 65K, SNQ 11k and SC/ST is 500rps which we call KCET Fee(Increase on yearly basis ). The college will charge 25K extra for infrastructure management, Property Insurance, etc. The College will not provide Scholarship but they will keep You updated about new scholarship and has a separate section for students to apply for various other scholarships. Another Major thing is part-time job / paid internships(hourly basis ) facility is available for those who are interested but it is not through college it is provided by the startup companies which are being funded by our college.

Our college Conducts many tech events and fests followed by entertaining events like Festivista,1st year's day, annual fest, Holi fest, etc. The college has no restrictions for fun in events. Also, the college provides Ground available near river banks for Cricket tournaments like GPL, SPL, etc. When it comes to study and researches college has 2 floored libraries and a separate digital library which contains more amount of journals help full for researches and books for GRE, GATE, etc. About Gym and Sports, College supports many sports like cricket, hockey, football, etc and has a separate coach for each. The college has 2 gyms open gym and an Indoor gym (Membership based if training is required will cost 500 per week ). The Main and Important fact I liked about college is its Clubs and Communities, College has many clubs and has its own Workroom. Coming to Classrooms which are clean huge and each class has its own Projector. Classrooms are kept clean every day.
