College with best hostel life

To take admission, first of all, you need to clear any national level entrance exam like CAT, CMAT, MAT, and depending upon the course you get a call from the college concerning your percentile in the entrance. After getting a call letter I went for WAT which is a written ability test and PI round immediately after that. I did not have any quota and took admission totally based on my merit. The experience was totally good that day and there was a facility for your guardian to have lunch while you were busy in your process.

I choose this course by seeing the growing insurance industry and also the placement of this course is the best and happens first on the campus. For every 60 students, there is a class coordinator. The faculty of the campus is very well qualified and is educated from top colleges of the country. Also, the faculties have rich industry experience which they share with the students. 40-50% of the faculties are doctorate and rest are pursuing their PhD's and will be qualified soon. Exams happen every week in the form of internal and class tests and after every 2.5-month finals, trimester exams take place. Although passing them is not that difficult. Studying a night before could easily get you a decent percentage of marks.

For the internship process in the begging brands comes like big companies say Infosys, SBI General, BAGIC, BALIC etc while after 8-9 such companies brokers are there for the process. The role was a management trainee and most of the task was of sales and research. B2B sales and retail sales both types of profiles came for internship.

The placements of the college are very good and especially for my course. There are various companies in which you can apply which comes to the campus. BAGIC, BALIC, TATA AIG, SWISS RE, SBI LIFE, SBI General Infosys, TCS, etc are some of the top companies which come for placements. The average package is around 7.5lakhs while the highest is 10 lakhs which went last year, this year highest is 8.5 lakhs. Placement is 100% and the minimum CTC offered was 6.25 lakhs.

Tuition fees remained the same for a couple of years but hostel fees get a hike of 5% every year almost. The scholarship is available for the students who get 85+ percentile in CAT of 2 lakhs and topper of every trimester gets a scholarship of 50000 and 25000 respectively. Placements are about to start but till now internship we got and the average stipend offered was 10000.

Campus life is quite beautiful and happening. After every few days, we have events of some of the other clubs and conduits. We have several clubs like finance drama dance music etc whatever hobby you can think of. There are quite a few sports events where senior vs junior matches take place, inter-departmental tournaments, etc. I am a part of MAJLIS society here which is a drama and theatre society and have organized various events like Shabdalay, Educaracy, etc. Every class has a smartboard and a beautiful library we have on campus.

Hostel facility is the next to any college you can think of. Food is very awesome with regular sweets and an enormous amount of varieties. The only thing is the hostel is mandatory for the students and it is very expensive than any college in the country. The process as such is not there in the hostel to register yourself. There is just one form which you have to fill. The best part is that menu of the mess is made by the students of the food club only and hence the system is quite good.

There is no GD round for the admission process but the PI and WAT rounds happened. Topics of WAT were quite challenging but interesting and it tests your psychology related to issues in the current market. Few topics were totally current affairs and some were related to corporate culture and ethics. I prepared it with my coaching for my entrance exams.
