BIT college my review.

Very good college, I think they have improved a lot now in terms of infra.

VTU entrance exam. I did BSc in computers and hence chose MCA. As I was interested in computer applications.

MCA Course Details: MCA is a PG degree course and MCA Course duration is 3-years. This course is offered to students in most of the Universities across India. The candidates who want to pursue a career in the s/w field can choose this course after graduation. This course offers numerous job opportunities for bright students in software companies and also in MNC’s with high salaries and the growth of software engineer can outrun the growth in any other similar fields.

Lot of companies came for placement like top Infosys, wipro, TCS, mindtree, cognizent, HCl, general electronics.

Bangalore Institute of Technology (BIT) witnesses about 70-80% placements with reputed companies like TCS, Infosys, Wipro, Mahindra & Mahindra, L&T, Bosch coming in for campus placements. Google drops in and picks up a couple of lucky chaps from here as well. The average salary is a mediocre Rs. 3.5L per year and the highest goes to around Rs. 9L per annum, a phenomenon observed only a few selected colleges.

A techno-cultural festival called “Manthan” is celebrated at an inter-collegiate level every year in April at Bangalore Institute of Technology (BIT). Rock show were arranged every year. Fashion shows, outing, ethic wears occasionally, outing, trips.

Scholarship is not provided by bank. They give you only bonafeid certificate which helps you in getting loan from any banks. No any special loan facility provided by the bank.

Almost equal in gender ratios except mechanical department having more number of boys than that of girls. All kinds of students from different religion and economic status are there in college. No politics, are influenced in the college. The college is strict in its education for students. No gender equality issues or ragging is present in the college or in hostel.

Hostel is average in looking. But food is very nice with attractive menu for both North and south Indian students. Snacks are also provided. Washing machine facilities are provided and TV, solar, nice rooms.Ethnic day, ganesh Utsav, manthan, college fest, graduation day, environmental day, technical fest, engineers day, xcalibre events, rotaract, TEDX. Still so many national festivals are celebrated such as gandhi Jayanti, Republic day Independence day, teachers day are celebrated even in hostel to.

College has its own alumni committee and trust having its own office in the college. That help students a lot in curricular and Co curricular activities.

Its a semester wise syllabus, where we had 6 semesters for 3 years, per year 2 semesters, so each semester would comprise of specific syllabus. And each semester would have three internal exams, and one external along with lab exam. It was not so hectic, we can make time and do college and personal life balanced.

Once we complete BSC, we need to keep check for VTU cal on entrance on pg cources which include MBA, MCA etc.. Then we need to apply for the same filling application, and to attend entrance exam. Followed by getting VTU entrance ranking. Followed with counselling at Belguam Karnataka VTU office, selected this college. And visited college for further admission.

Those from the Mechanical, Civil and Computer Science departments hold nothing but praise and respect for their teachers. Students from other departments claim that the faculty is average with some really good professors and some really dumb ones. The faculty in the Instrumentation Technology department is said to be in urgent need for betterment. Communication is in English, but they have an inclination towards the regional language and are better off explaining in Kannada.
