I have applied for Kalani govt engineering college through wbjee counseling I have applied for Kalyani govt because it ranks top best engineering college after Ju in west Bengal I have not availed any quota for admission the admission criteria is min. 45% gen for h.s marks and rank below 5000.

Course Curriculum Overview

I want to research in the field of communication technology faculty is well efficient with the ratio is 1: 10 best quality teaching and practically oriented teaching term exam are thereafter every 2 months.

Internships Opportunities

Internship opportunities are not good. Our training and placement cell provides some internship opportunities. There are no specific intern hiring in our college. Students are managed from other ways to get corporate experience.

Campus placements are good in our college. The students of 3rd year are eligible for campus interview. TCS, Cognizant, Wipro-like companies are coming to our college. The highest package in our college is 10 lpa.The average package of our college is 4 lpa. 50% of students are got placements by campus interview.

Fees and Financial Aid

Fees structure is very low compared to private colleges the fees hike policy causes trouble for students' families having very low per capta income there are many internship programs in our college we get ongc scholarship.

Hostel Facilities

We have 5 hostels in our college. 4 hostels for boys and 1 hostel for girls. Here hostels are not so good, below average. And the worst thing in our college is hostel meals. Hostels are provided to students only on a merit basis. Rented rooms and PGs are available near a college campus

Interview Experience

Yes, there was a formal interview by the registrar. sir of college regarding hobby and past school life and on g.k and some tactical question. The rank below 8000 12th above 85 % PCM. I was prepared by jack and by my friends

Placement Experience:

I don't have idea about the placements since I'm in first year now. But I talked to a senior and got to know that many got multiple offers in 4th year. I also head that packages are around 4 lpa which is a decent and also a rise than the previous year.

The summary of my four years in one of the oldest colleges in India

Placement Experience:

The campus placements happen in final year of the course. There is a well established placement cell to conduct the on-campus placements. Many well renowned companies visit our college namely Microsoft, Google, TI, TSL, PWC, ICICI, ABG. L&T, etc. The highest package was 50LPA and the average was around 9LPA. Over 90% students got placed from across every department and details of the placement is also available in the college official website. I have gotten a job from the on-campus drive to a core company.

Placement Experience:

The placements of our college are below average. Studies for placement are more or less relevant from second semester. companies like tcs, amazon etc do visit our campus however very few are selected with package above 4-5 LPA. Most of the students seek out for higher studies and that's my plan too.

Placement Experience:

After the 6th semester, the students are eligible for placements. Mass recruiters like TCS, Wipro, Infosys, Accenture, Capgemini, etc visit every year and pick up 80-100 students per company. Other companies like Amazon, Thoughtworks, Etc also visit the college. The highest package offered by our college is 15LPA by Thoughtworks. Every year around 75-80% of students get placed on campus. I plan to get a good job work for 2-3 years and then apply for Masters. Overall the placement is very nice in this college.

KGEC REVIEW

I gave West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination in 2024. I scored a decent rank but due to high cut off of this year I didn't get good branch in Jadavpur University. I will get Jadavpur University printing engineering but I didn't choose. Our college KGEC is in 2nd rank in terms of all benefits.
