Remarks

I have had applied for UPES for the course of B.com Honours but when I got admission to the University of Delhi for the same course I opted out of the college because we know the University of Delhi holds more value and we all know it is famous for its alumni. To get into the college I availed the quota of Economic Weaker Section in the General category as the University grants a special cut-off for economic weaker sections which is slight below the cut-off for general background students who don't opt for the quota. The minimum criteria for my program is the merit based system. To get into the college one should have minimum of 87% in his/her 12th board for general category for the quota of EWS and for the non-quota general category it is a minimum of 90%. The age of the candidate must be over 16 years. The admission process was quite good as the students have to go to the college and get their documents verified and till evening they have to pay the fees for the first year and they are done.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

I choose this course because I have to do my masters in future and this course is best suited for me because I am from a commerce background and I am interested in finance sector. The faculty-student ratio in the college is around 3:7 and speaking of which the faculty in the college is highly reputed and holds a strong background and the teaching methods are very good as they are updated to new changes in advance and they provide everything that is according to the new rules and syllabus issued. The term exams were conducted on time as per the dates issued by the University and that's a strong point of the college and talking about the difficulty of exams they are not hard but above than average because exam pattern is made keeping in mind of every student so they are not that hard but also not as easy to be passed without studying.

Placement Experience

3

The students in final semester become eligible for campus placements. Placements aren't that good but still you can assure your job in banks like HDFC, ICICI, Axis Bank etc. The average package one get after his/her undergraduation is around 25000/- rupees. The percentage of students getting placements is around 94%. My plan after the degree is to do my masters from United Kingdom.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee structure of the college is 12000/- rupees for a year and the course duration is 3 years so the total cost is around 3600-/- for three years. There are no as such scholarships in the college because it comes under a government university where fee is already so low. On campus job is sometimes good but the average stipend is around 20000-25000/- after completion of the course.

Campus Life

3.5

My college is known for its fest and other extra-curricular activities. They are conducted in every 2 months like Diwali Mela, Celebrity Fests, Holi Mela, Annual Fest. You can get almost every course/ semester books in the library and you can even issue them for a complete semester. Classrooms aren't that good or you can say they are like other government schools classrooms. They are'nt good honestly. The college is very famous for cricket and I will definitely recommend if someone is interested in cricket as my college has an alumini who got their career in IPL. For example: Lalit Kumar from Delhi Capitals was a student in our college and there are soo many others. There are so many societies in the college for example-Aaina, Enactus, The social club, and many more.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Well i choose this course because I didn't got what I wanted. Many students are from arts background who got this course because they had no option. The curriculum is same as school all chapters and everything. The law section is new. About buisness and law and everything. Rest is same. Changes in curriculum is not in their hands. But if they could actually change the accounting syllabus. The timing of exams is normal 2:30 to 6:30. And internal test taken by perspective teacher are according to their time and class. They will take retest incase you didn't attended.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I really was interested in finance and taxation from the beginning. This course aligned rightly with my interests. The curriculum is based on real world applications. Corporate accounting, financial accounting, company law, human resource management, these are very important considering change in the job market and business world. Not only real world applications but one can also go for further academic pursuit such as a master's degree and research. This makes the curriculum really diverse. Some areas of suggestions would be that in theory subjects there should be practical activities. Just like vestibular training. The time of exams is just right. After the completion of syllabus of a particular subject, we are given 10 days of preparation leave. The exams are moderate and it really tests our ability and knowledge based on our studies.

For placements fifth semester student are eligible for placements. Since it is best commerce college. Companies like big 4, google, bank of America, Goldman Sachs, bcg, bain and co., Sbi, paytm, meesho and many more comes. The highest package was 36 LPA this year from meesho for senior analyst roles. Average package is 10 LPA. Most of the placements take place in consulting, marketing, auditing, finance and analyst roles. Around more than 50% of the students get placed. My plan is to take placements in consulting and finance roles after the degree from the college.

The placement of my college is good if you perform well in the process of selection, as I told earlier, the placement cell is pretty active, so you would have a good number of options. I will be naming the good companies that visited my college, they were EY, Deloitte, DE SHAW, TCS, KPMG, etc. Numerous offers were made and I would say over 80% students in my batch got placed in good companies.

Course Curriculum Overview:

In open learning management.. they provide hard copy of books tk prepare whole semester and this is a very good thing because those books are covering whole semester in some books only and there is a v good thing I found... At the end of every chapter they provide summaries and mock questions for every chapter to analyse the weakness and strength. the areas for improvements in the Course Curriculum and Teaching Methods--- they should also provide a mock test paper as per the paper model and latest questions or updated topics with to the point topics The difficulty is normal if candidate is completely prepared...
