Remarks
The admission process was pleasant. We had clear instructions about what documents to carry & where to go to. I applied to Maharaja Agrasen apart from Bharati Vidyapeeth but the two factors that I ultimately chose BVCOE were: 1. It was near to my house. BVCOE is situated in a good location. If you want to go out for a bite, you've Punjabi Bagh nearby where you can reach in 5-7 minutes. I think its closeness to Paschim Vihar Metro Station is commendable if you travel using the green line. 2. I did a lot of research in terms of what program is good & where. Since I wanted to go for ECE, I heard that ECE Department is more strict as compared to other departments at BVCOE which is true. But it does help smooth things out in an orderly fashion if you're someone who can stand up in a crowd. It does prove to be a real pain for people below average in terms of academics.
Course Curriculum Overview
It depends on the faculty you're getting. Like every other institution, BVCOE has faculties who are excellent, good, and even poor at times when it comes to teaching. Mind the fact that I am talking about teaching skills and not knowledge. You'll find teachers who are holding PhDs so faculties have a vast amount of knowledge. Teaching methods are quite old, but I am pretty sure they have been the same for the past few decades. It has less to do with faculties in general & more with how has the system been.
Placement Experience
In the 7th Semester, the students become eligible for Campus Placements. Companies do come but you need to have no pending backlogs or more than 75% in academics. A lot of students plan to go for an MBA or Masters's after getting graduated.
Fees and Financial Aid
You do get financial assistance but there are certain criteria that you need to meet. I don't particularly remember the name of scholarships. In terms of stipend and salaries whether going for an internship or a job, it's purely a game of self-knowledge. One should know what he/she is doing and needs to fight for opportunities even if you're at an IIT. Let's be practical, you won't give a job to someone who doesn't have that skillet or experience. Gain those skills, apply them to projects, go for internships.
Campus Life
When it comes to Clubs there are a ton of clubs at BVCOE. There are more than 25 student chapters that give you a ton of opportunities but you need to find yourself, which is the right place for you and for which role. A few of them are Microsoft Learn Student Chapter, IEEE, Association for Computing & Machinery, Computer Society Of India, Enactus, Coding Blocks. Coming to books you have a library and a book bank. The canteens are really good in terms of the variety of things you can eat.
