PANKAJ SINGH's Review On National Institute Of Technology - [NIT], Rourkela

NIT is rourkela is one of the premier institutes in india,i will recommend for everyone.

AIEEE-11993 AIR exam was conducted through CBSE,at that time total 9335 seats was there in NITs,further counselling was done under state quota,you can get NIT if you have within 23000 AIR.

The course is both theory and practical base first 2.5 years used to be focus of theory and then rest 1.5 years you have to be focus on research,some coursed are job oriented and some of them are for higher studies,I recommond to to do Phd or MS in abroad after course completion than JOB in a industry.

For different courses and as per your score in GATE,NET and as per your qualification different general stipend rules are there which used to be give by MHRD.

Placement is different for different courses for computer science it is 250%, for mechanical it is 200%, for chemical it is 180%, for civil it is 180%, for electrical it is 170%, for metallurgy it is 200%, for Ceramic engg it is 150%, for mining engg it is 200%.

Many events in a year used to be celebrated,in winter cultural program used to be conduct and then in winter technical fest used to be conduct, in cultural fest is used to be celebrated in orissa level and technical fest used to be celebrated in all india level also there are many sports used to play in intra NIT and inter NIT level.

When i was doing my B.Tech my fee was 24000 Per inclusive of all, but now this is also going to be costly to study in NIT also as fee is going to become higher year by year as as per infra-structure i can say that fee is feasible,it is around 87000 per annum.

You will get instant loan after locking your seat or after registration, also SBI bank is available inside college campus, there is on executive from loan department.

Campus life is very good, there are many classes of robotics, different type of sports used to be organised to enhance skill of students as there are students came from different states, boys to girls ratio is very poor, only few girls used to come for study engineering.

There are separate hostels for boys and girls total hostels are 10,out of 10 ,7 are for B.Tech students,2 are for M.Tech and Ph.D students and 1 is for girls every hostel have all the facilities like mess, canteen, Jim.common hall for amusement and etc.

Different alumni meets used to be organised under all india and college level in each year we have good network with pass out students who are working in different organisations.

As NIT Rourkela is university in itself so all the exams used to be conduct inside campus,practical subjects is about 40% of theoretical subjects and everything used to be done in house,next semester starts only after coming of previous semester result, there is Mid sem and finally end sem exam is there.

Counselling for fiiling seats in NIT and other colleges used to be done in NIT of respective,suppose if you are from orissa then you have to go NIT rourkela as i was from UP,i have done my counselling at NIT allahabad and got NIT rourkela ceramic engg This course is a unique course and available in only some premier institutes so placement is more than 200%,furhter after allotment of seats 4-5 days time is given to me for locking of seats at allotted NIT,and this way i got admission,at that time it was under top 20 Engineering institutes in india.

All faculty is PHD in different area,some of them have done PHD from india and some of them are from abroad,so for different course different faculty is there,also many extracurricular activities used to do there to enhance your skill and personality development.
