I took WBJEE. I took this college because it was a little closer to my home town and I have also heard good things about it before.

I was in Computer Science and engineering. Teachers were quite good. You may find some of them not so friendly but most of them are good and friendly. Few teachers don't have the enthusiasm to teach you properly. But if you want to learn then you can.

No, Our college does not provide internship. But we are allowed to do internship in other companies our institute after third year.

When I was taking admission then the last record for placement was very good. But at our time placement was worst. Most of the company which came to our college was for technical support which is more like a call centre. Most of them were giving a package of 1.8 lpa. Very few companies came which gave software developer job but the salary was too low like 1.2 lpa for starting.

There are many events organised here. We had college fest which was the main big event every year. It was held for three days. We had competitions, stage shows, and other activities. 2-3 singers were invited for the fest. We also had tech fest where technical competition was done. We had Counter Strike 1.6 and NFS tournaments to.

At my time, I started with 72000 yearly. After every year the fees was increased by 2000. You can pay your fees quarterly if you like. Charges for library books are taken yearly. At my time it was 2000 yearly. For extra curricular activities there was fees too which was taken yearly.

I didn't get any scholarship or applied for any loan. But the college does provide a scholarship facilities. Scholarship depends upon your marks. You can also apply for loans. My room had applied for loans and he get the check in the name of our college.

Campus life was good. You can always visit the college campus till 7 pm. You can have chit chat with your friends, play games or even can study in the library. Extracurricular was also there. We had cricket matches which was known as APL (Aryabhatta Premier League ). There was also quiz competitions, debates, etc held there.

You can chill out. Exams are not too tough in West Bengal University of Technology. Most of us started our studies when there was 2-4 days left for exams to begin and scored a 6 pointer. That score is good enough if you haven't studied whole semester and studied just before exams

I had given WBJEE exam and got the admission through counselling of WBJEE. We are given the date of counselling according to our ranks. Then we have to appear in the specified place. There was a screen which shows the college list and the available seats in that college. When your turn comes you have to mention one college you want from the list of available colleges which has having seats.

Most of the teachers are holding Masters in Technology degree. There are only few who have done PHD. You can always go to teachers cabin to ask your doubt if they are not busy. They will also help you if you are doing your own project.
