On the whole, I am extremely happy about all the college aspects. Some improvements needs to be done about the mess food though. Apart from that, I feel extremely blessed in being a part of such a college.

I took the JEE mains examination and scored 125. It is a dream entrance for engineers. Several days of hard work, dedication and continuous practice is required to clear such an entrance. It serves as a gate for admissions into some of the most prestigious institutes in India. It also serves as a preliminary entrance for admissions into the IITs. The reason behind me choosing this college is that it is an institute of national importance and more importantly it has a refined and an integrated syllabus which enables us learn the basics of all subjects rather than concentrating on a particular syllabus.

The syllabus chosen is excellent especially the design oriented colleges in India. Ours being one of them, we are really lucky. We have only those subjects which will be needed for engineering, apart from other colleges having a vague and a wide syllabus. The curriculum is outstanding. It enables a student to not only learn his subjective area but also to have a basic knowledge of all subjects. The lab practicals are carefully chosen by the director so as to benefit the students to the maximum extent.

Our college does provide internship. It generally comes as a winter internship during december. Registered and selected students have the opportunity to get a working experience during their study time itself. Some of our college students were sent to Germany and Japan.

Being a freshly started college, it does not boast its placements compared to the IITs and NITs but it certainly remains top compared to other regional colleges in the state. Our college has received a highest job package of 15 lpa and the average is 8 lpa. Our college being located in chennai, an industrial area, many core companies visit us and take the skilled students.

Our college conducts its annual cultural fest-Samgatha every year during the month of March. It hosts a series of cultural events and feasts the eyes of the participants. We have a good amount of sponsors and the technical team of our college are outstanding and take their responsibility seriously. It also has several other events like fresher's night, musical night and many more. It frequently holds many technical as well as non-technical events.

The fee structure is quite feasible. It has to be paid every semester. It includes the tuition fee, lab fee, library, hostel and mess charges. Speaking on basis of the facilities they provide, it is quite cheap. On the fee they collect, they also provide several workshops and other events. They frequently organize sport events and also special lunch all from the fee that they collect.

The good thing about a national institute is that it helps the underprivileged students to the maximum level. Our college also provides such features. It helps the really deserving candidates. Those students whose parental income is less than four years are given a good amount of scholarship.

Being a hostel student, i fully enjoy the campus life. Studies in the morning, sports in the evening and some sessions at night are our daily routine. We have interesting robotics, programming, gaming and music sessions. The gender ratio is like other engineering colleges, its 4:1 between boys and girls. Our college has students from all parts of India with varying religion ,castes and social status. Extracurricular activities are also given prime importance here. Some event or the other keeps happening every week to keep the students depressurised from academics.

Our college boasts two fourteen floor buildings, which serves as hostel for boys and girls. The facilities are extremely good. Uninterrupted water and electricity are some of the features. It also provides lan connection in every room for student's benefit. Speaking of the mess food, it has a decent menu which repeats every week. The only thing that our college does not satisfy properly is the mess food. But it does organize a special lunch every month.

Seniors are most valuable source of information that we can get in a college. Be it hostel life or academics, we can approach our seniors without any hesitation or regret. They are more than happy to help us. Our alumni network keeps supporting us and provide all the possible help. They organize a special meet during the orientation program of freshers to boost their confidence.

The exams are well planned and structured. Unlike other colleges, we don't have continous exams which exhausts the students, rather we have a simple exam pattern and our semester gets over within three weeks. The syllabus being hard, exams are also tough but the pattern is marvellous and we get enough preparation time.

Getting an admission in such a college is a really long process. Once your entrance results are out, you fill in the national engineering application portal known as JOSAA (Joint Seat Allocation Authority). You will have to upload all the relevant documents, details and other information. Then there will be six rounds of seat allocation process. It is conducted very efficiently based on the mark scored in the entrance and on the board marks. It allocates a rank depending on your marks and then does the proceedings. Once your admission in a particular college is confirmed, you will have to report in person to that college and submit all the valid documents for further verification and then your seat in that college is confirmed.

The faculty in this college are far beyond excellent. All of them have a doctorate degree in their respective areas. They have an immense amount of experience, which is more than enough to clear all of our doubts. Not only are the professors well educated, but the lab assistants and training assistants as well. All of the lab assistants hold atleast a master degree. So basis of teaching, our college is among the best.
