Remarks
You have to give WBJEE exam and get good marks to get admission in this college. You have to score at least 40 marks to be eligible for counseling. I have taken admission through the general quota. Counseling is conducted by WBJEE and you have to fill choices for various branches.
Course Curriculum Overview
The whole course for electrical engineering is divided into 8 semesters through 4 years. Here faculty and student ratio is 1:63. All of our professors are excellent, well-educated, polite and very helpful. Their quality of teaching is superb. You have to follow their lectures well to clear the concepts and secure decent GPAs in semesters. If students want to get placements in MNCs, they must study well, seriously consider the course and learn coding from Youtube and GeeksForGeeks.
Placement Experience
Placements are not quite good here but they are improving day by day. You have to master coding for getting a handsome job. Otherwise, you will get an average placement to be honest. The highest salary package offered here is around 12-20 LPA and the lowest salary package offered is 5-6 LPA. Placement cells are improving and companies like TCS, Amazon, Infosys, Razorpay visit our campus every year. It is very important to participate in competitive programming events conducted on the campus to improve your resume which definitely helps a lot to get jobs.
Fees and Financial Aid
Frankly speaking, our college is self-financial but government undertaking. So fees are comparatively higher per semester. For the first 2 semesters, the fee is Rs. 27500 but for next semesters the fee is Rs. 39000. But you will get financial assistance surely. You can apply for Swami Vivekananda scholarship which gives students Rs. 60000 per year.
Campus Life
Classrooms are smart and favorable for ideal study. Practical labs are well-furnished. Hostel rooms are neat and clean. The library facility is available but needs to be moderated. Wi-Fi facility is not available. The campus is medium in size but provides all types of facilities like sports, gym, library, canteen, etc. All types of fests and cultural events, especially competitive programming events are held in our college.
