Remarks

I joined Jadavpur University. It's a world class university but at a very affordable cost. I belonged to the gen category. My rank was 469 in wbjee. Counselling is done on a given date on campus based on wbjee rank.

Course Curriculum Overview

Here you will find one of the best faculty in India. All are highly qualified. All are BE ME and PhD. Their class notes are sufficient to pass the exams. They teach with chalk and board and some of the ppt presentations. The faculty student ratio is 1:20.

Internships Opportunities

The campus internship drive is not still started to date, it will start soon. As per the companies guideline I have to seat for their examinations. If I got selected then I will be chosen for an intern.

Placement Experience

During 4th year placement companies come and the internship drive starts from 3 year 1st sem, almost 90% of students get placed. Companies like Amazon, TCS, CESC, L&T, Flipkart Reliance and many companies choose our students.

Fees and Financial Aid

After IIT Kharagpur JU stands with shibpur in terms of placements. There are lots of facilities for a scholarship, organised by the alumni members and many more. The cost is very minimum, 2500 Rs per year.

Campus Life

There is the scope of every type of game, art and culture, there are lots of clubs like drama, photography, and lots more. There is a central library and in each dept one departmental library and fest like Srijan, Sanskriti etc takes place throughout the year.

Placement Experience:

I don't have idea about the placements since I'm in first year now. But I talked to a senior and got to know that many got multiple offers in 4th year. I also head that packages are around 4 lpa which is a decent and also a rise than the previous year.

The summary of my four years in one of the oldest colleges in India

Placement Experience:

The campus placements happen in final year of the course. There is a well established placement cell to conduct the on-campus placements. Many well renowned companies visit our college namely Microsoft, Google, TI, TSL, PWC, ICICI, ABG. L&T, etc. The highest package was 50LPA and the average was around 9LPA. Over 90% students got placed from across every department and details of the placement is also available in the college official website. I have gotten a job from the on-campus drive to a core company.

Placement Experience:

The placements of our college are below average. Studies for placement are more or less relevant from second semester. companies like tcs, amazon etc do visit our campus however very few are selected with package above 4-5 LPA. Most of the students seek out for higher studies and that's my plan too.

Placement Experience:

After the 6th semester, the students are eligible for placements. Mass recruiters like TCS, Wipro, Infosys, Accenture, Capgemini, etc visit every year and pick up 80-100 students per company. Other companies like Amazon, Thoughtworks, Etc also visit the college. The highest package offered by our college is 15LPA by Thoughtworks. Every year around 75-80% of students get placed on campus. I plan to get a good job work for 2-3 years and then apply for Masters. Overall the placement is very nice in this college.

Review of Jadavpur University

Like my main was getting to IIT which I couldn't as U couldn't clear JEE advanced.So my next option was to choose between NITS and JU.So clearly choose JU because it completes our BE in 10k whereas the fees of NITs are really high.So as I gave JEE in 2024 my jee main rank was something around 64K (95.5 percentile) and my wbjee rank was 2341 and got alloted food Technology and biochemical engineering in jadavpur university.The process to get into our college is to give wbjee and if u are a general your rank should be within 2500 to get into this premium college....Read More
