Remarks

The admission process was a swift process. It took 3 days to get it fully done. The first day consisted of submitting the application. The second day was the reviewing of the application form and also the screening of the forms. On the third day, the payment was initiated and the admission was given. I got admitted in the 3rd cutoff, which was 96.5% (with 1% concession for girls) this year. The first cutoff went to 98%.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

I was keenly interested in markets and finance and for that reason I chose B. Com (Hons). It gave a wide variety of subjects that dealt with finance to ensure the best overall learning, and the teachers are fully inclined towards it as well. The faculty members understood the grievances of the students because of the pandemic, and taught and acted accordingly. The exams took place in March 2021 (as scheduled for our academic year 2020) and were in the form of OPEN BOOK EXAMINATION. It was quite an easy exam to pass because the students could use their books to answer while giving the exam.

Internships Opportunities

4

ARSD college has a Placement Cell, which is responsible for all placements and internship opportunities. The placement cell has tie-ups with many start-ups and provides various internship opportunities to freshers as well as second and third yearers. The stipend ranges from INR 5,000- INR 30,000 per month. The companies that provide internships at ARSD are Sharekhan, CashKaro, Fampay, Resumond, The Policy Times, Bajaj Capital and many more.

Placement Experience

4.5

The placements of ARSD are quite satisfactory. The biggest campus recruiting firms are Genpact, KPMG, Ernst & Young, and Indigo Airlines. Around 30-35% of students got recruited by these firms in 2020. Every year, around 80% of students get recruited through campus placements at ARSD. After the completion of my degree, I'll work at a company and complete my master's in commerce while working on the job, side by side.

Fees and Financial Aid

The total fee of the college for B. Com (hons) course was INR 12,435 PER ANNUM. It consisted of several charges such as tuition fee, garden fee, water and electricity, security (refundable) student aid fund, student union, games and sports, general amenities and library development. ARSD provides various job opportunities to students for internships as well as full time jobs/placements. The biggest companies that came to ARSD for recruitment were Genpact, KPMG, Ernst & Young and Indigo Airlines. Around 30-35% of students got placed in these companies in 2020.

Campus Life

4.5

The annual fest of ARSD college is named TIDE and was conducted in February 2020. It consisted of edm nights, bands, and various other events. The celebrities that performed at TIDE were Akhil Sachdeva and Hanna shine. The college consists of innumerable student societies. Some of the renowned socities of the college include Enactus, National Cadet Council, National Service Scheme, Finance and Investment Cell, Commercio, Rangayan (the cultural society), and Saarang (the music society). Students can audition for each society and once selected, get to bear responsibilities and do tasks that come with the society. Enactus ARSD launched it's first website in 2021 through wix.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Well i choose this course because I didn't got what I wanted. Many students are from arts background who got this course because they had no option. The curriculum is same as school all chapters and everything. The law section is new. About buisness and law and everything. Rest is same. Changes in curriculum is not in their hands. But if they could actually change the accounting syllabus. The timing of exams is normal 2:30 to 6:30. And internal test taken by perspective teacher are according to their time and class. They will take retest incase you didn't attended.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I really was interested in finance and taxation from the beginning. This course aligned rightly with my interests. The curriculum is based on real world applications. Corporate accounting, financial accounting, company law, human resource management, these are very important considering change in the job market and business world. Not only real world applications but one can also go for further academic pursuit such as a master's degree and research. This makes the curriculum really diverse. Some areas of suggestions would be that in theory subjects there should be practical activities. Just like vestibular training. The time of exams is just right. After the completion of syllabus of a particular subject, we are given 10 days of preparation leave. The exams are moderate and it really tests our ability and knowledge based on our studies.

For placements fifth semester student are eligible for placements. Since it is best commerce college. Companies like big 4, google, bank of America, Goldman Sachs, bcg, bain and co., Sbi, paytm, meesho and many more comes. The highest package was 36 LPA this year from meesho for senior analyst roles. Average package is 10 LPA. Most of the placements take place in consulting, marketing, auditing, finance and analyst roles. Around more than 50% of the students get placed. My plan is to take placements in consulting and finance roles after the degree from the college.

Placement Experience:

The placement of my college is good if you perform well in the process of selection, as I told earlier, the placement cell is pretty active, so you would have a good number of options. I will be naming the good companies that visited my college, they were EY, Deloitte, DE SHAW, TCS, KPMG, etc. Numerous offers were made and I would say over 80% students in my batch got placed in good companies.

Course Curriculum Overview:

In open learning management.. they provide hard copy of books tk prepare whole semester and this is a very good thing because those books are covering whole semester in some books only and there is a v good thing I found... At the end of every chapter they provide summaries and mock questions for every chapter to analyse the weakness and strength. the areas for improvements in the Course Curriculum and Teaching Methods--- they should also provide a mock test paper as per the paper model and latest questions or updated topics with to the point topics The difficulty is normal if candidate is completely prepared...
