Way to success- [IKGPTU], Amritsar

I have applied for the Dev Bhoomi group of colleges, Dehradun and IKG Punjab Technical University, Jalandhar. Firstly I tried my best to secure my seat in a good government institute where placements must be good and fees must be affordable for any middle-class family. I secured my seat in IKG Punjab Technical University, Amritsar campus on the basis of my 10+2 percentage. Usually, the admission in my college is based on JEE mains percentile, but due to the COVID scenario, my admission was based on 10+2 marks. The admission criteria of my college: 1) Passed 10+2 or equivalent and secured minimum 60% marks overall and secured a minimum of 65% marks in English. 2) You must have a minimum of 5 subjects in your qualifying exam. No, reappear in the qualifying exam. Admission process: Firstly you have to register for the counseling process on the university website and select the colleges and courses of your choice. Then the merit list will be issued by the University and accordingly you will get your College.

I want to be a software engineer in TCS, that's why I'm doing my bachelor's in the computer science domain. The faculty members of my college are highly educated and completed their Ph.D. degrees. Apart from this, they are really very supportive and Frank with the students. In our class, the ratio of girls and boys is 5:7 respectively. The exams are held after every 6 months, the level of exams are intermediate. If you studied well then surely it will be easy for you. Apart from this, some monthly semester tests and internal viva were also conducted by the institute.

The internships are also offered by the same companies if you are in your second and third years. The companies are: TCS, Infosys, Accenture, Cognizant, etc The stipend is about 15000-20000/month. Projects are based on the job position. If you are applying for the development part, you have to design software, apps, and all.

After 6 semesters, the campus placements get started. We can apply to the companies and secure our job. The major recruiting companies are: Tata consultancy services, Infosys, Wipro, Byjus, Accenture, Cognizant, And many more are there. The highest package of the last batch is 17 lacs. And the average package is about 4 lacs. Almost 90% of students got placed. I am preparing for TCS Ninja and then for the next level and will apply off-campus and surely tried my level best.

The fees of my college are really very affordable if you are a meritorious student then you have to pay nothing. You just have to pay your hostel fees. The overall fees: For b.tech computer science and engineering: 84750 INR/year If you secured 75+ in your +2, you will get 50% off on tuition fees. If you secured 90+ in your +2, you will get 100% off on tuition fees. Just remember one thing, if you want to continue this scholarship, you have to pass each and every subject of every semester.

I don't know much about it because due to COVID everything is online at present. But our college tried their best to organize fests, completions and all online. Recently our college organizes aavahan contest virtually in which 93 colleges participate.
