B.Tech- Civil Engineering,IITD

IIT Delhi has always been counted among some of the top IITs of the group and it is among the top properties for any BTech aspirant of our country. IIT-D also holds "National Importance Institution" Status to its name and admissions for B.Tech are based on the counselling procedure of JOSAA which requires a valid score in JEE.

Faculty of IIT Delhi needs no briefing for quality as the institute is among the best in the country. All the faculty members hold doctorate degrees and are some of the best of the country. The reason I chose Civil Engineering was, my love towards arts along with that in technology. So, Civil Engineering looked to me like the best thing to do.

The students were given good enough offers during the internship round and my internship was among the best of the round. As I was given a stipend of INR 38,000 for the 7 weeked Internship offer of mine

IIT Delhi is counted among the best IITs of the country and its placements really makes it better. The highest bagged salary for BTech during 2020 drive was INR 1 CPA and the top recruiters were Tata Group, Microsoft, Oracle, Amazon and Deloitte. There were nearly 300 visitors during the placement drive and the average salary stood across INR 16 LPA.

INR 8.43 lacs is the total B.Tech program fee at IIT Delhi which should be paid in equal shifts throughout the 8 semesters of the degree program. Some relaxation in the fee structure is available for the students belonging to reserved categories or EWS section and students can also get grants if they have performed well in their academics.

IIT Delhi is built in 300+ acres and its modernised campus is really worth being at. The institute organises events like Alumni interaction, sports & academic competitions & Industrial seminars all across the year to give it students the best possible experience. IIT-D library had the best technology oriented content while books and journals for management were also there. The placement cell, alumni relations committee and students council of the college were prominent names among societies of IIT Delhi.

The institute has totally 10 hostels for students accomodation, but being a local I haven't opted for the hostel residence. The facilities there were good, but I don't have any individual experience about them. The mess services at IIT-D were also good, as my friends used to appreciate the food quality very much.

75% marks in 12th with PCM as the main subjects is the minimum eligibility criteria to apply foe IIT admissions. The admissions are done through the JOSAA counselling and the score of applicants in JEE main & JEE Advance are the factors on whose the college's and seats allocation is done.
