Remarks

I first applied for galgotia university but later realised the study pattern and facilities are provided same in gla University for lesser fees and even there were some benefits better than galgotia here in gla university. I also live nearby gla university so I didn't have to opt for the hostel. I belong to the general category and didn't avail any quota, I properly cleared the admission process which included a written test and a personal interview by the HOD. Minimum requirements are not to be worried about cause it's a private university and on requesting and showing interest, little parameters that are not met can be ignored but yes you have to be a 12th pass student from any recognised board from any stream or have a complete diploma degree. The basic percentage required at my time of admission was 75 percent but as I mentioned it is negotiable. The minimum age criteria are 16 which you will definitely fulfil as completing your 12th or diploma which is again a basic requirement for BCA.

Course Curriculum Overview

5

BCA provides the students with the opportunities of a software engineer in 3 years that a b. Tech students get in 4 years as in gla university same companies provide job opportunities to BTech and BCA students at the same time they are collectively participating in interviews for se companies. There is a professor over every 40 students as class advisor and can he can be approached at any time regarding any issues even irrespective of studies. All the professors that take lectures are PhDs at the minimum or pursuing their PhDs. They are led by the HODs which are in research work for many years and the experience of all the professors are 10 years at the minimum. This is one of the main reasons for opting for GLA the professors are very much learned and experienced and provide world level knowledge of the subject. Their teaching methods are so pleasing none can ever get tired. The exams are conducted every semester in 2 halves as mid sem and end sem. Exams are not that tough if you attend lectures.

Internships Opportunities

4.5

Field trips and internships begin from the second year. These are strongly based on the type, of course, you're pursuing from this college like for example if you are in BCA like me then major companies like Tech Mahindra, Infosys, etc but it depends on students better performance in academic and personal knowledge. Indeed opportunities of all kinds are provided here for an internship that adds up to your working experience and benefits you in the future for placement. These internships can be beneficial for you in terms of learning and even they might be paid and you will be given some money for that. Again it only depends on excelling of the students, how well they perform. Multiple group projects, solo assignments and in the final year the main project work that gives you practical knowledge and all these activities are overall in the best interest of students while applying for jobs. Apart from the course personality development classes and communication classes are also regular in all courses.

Fees and Financial Aid

The basic fees structure that only includes academic fees with exam fees included is on average 90,000 rupees and revolves around this every year it may increase 5,000 rupees. Scholarships can be availed by students who have more than 90 percent by filling the scholarship form that is available in the main office. Other government based scholarships can also be availed under the UP scholarship scheme. Overall academic cost without any scholarship for BCA from gla university may range somewhere to 3 lakh rupees. While with scholarship it depends on how many scholarships you can get still it can be somewhere to 2 lakh rupees. Other facilities like hostel, bus, mess and other expenses costs are extra and depend on what you need Like if you opt hostel you need not pay bus fees cause it's inside the campus only. You will have to only pay hostel fees that again depends on the type of room(ac or non ac)and several students in that room(single or partner) which ranges from 40,000 rupees to 80,000 rupees.

Campus Life

5

Campus life is just like you imagined it to be. You'll meet so many people here from all parts of the country. The versatile environment and diversity of people are definitely going to teach you so many new things. Apart from the fun part, this will also prepare you to live and survive in all types of different environments. Your experience is going to be amazing and ragging free safe space. As here all the anti ragging schemes are in action and strictly followed(FIR). Everything is under the observation of cameras (the whole university) In hostels and blocks newspapers and magazines everything is provided and there are reading stands all over the campus. Multiple libraries in each block. So many sports and social activities are regularly conducted in university and no one can participate or compete. The classroom experience is great the computer labs are inspired by international universities and classrooms have the latest teaching technology. There are clubs of every category, which helps to grow & learn.

Interview Experience

4.5

The admission process is pretty easy either you can reach the online admission gla website or you can directly contact or go to college for the same. In college, you will be very well explained the complete process and will be even given a brief tour of labs and classes and the library. While in online mode you can fill the form and request an online test and after clearing that you can request for the second round of personal interviews. The same procedure is followed in person if you go to college for admission after that just fill the fees and complete the formalities of documents and all and you will officially become an enrolled student. The entrance exam and interview is very easy and interactive so no need to worry. You just have to be confident and show interest in the course and you have the full chance to get admitted. You can clear any sort of doubts that might be there while this process and the admission environment of the college is open to all irrespective of any partiality.

Placement Experience:

Placements at Greater Noida Institute of Technology (GNIOT) are decent but not exceptional. Students usually become eligible for campus placements from the 5th semester onwards. Companies like TCS, Wipro, and Infosys visit the campus, along with some startups, and offer roles mainly in IT support, development, and trainee positions. The highest package offered is around 8–10 LPA, while the average package ranges between 4–5 LPA, and the lowest is around 2–3 LPA. Approximately 60–70% of students get placed, while others either go for higher studies or off-campus opportunities.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I choose the BCA program because of my interest in software development and web technologies. The curriculum’s focus on core subjects like Java, C++, and Database Management Systems (DBMS) was a major deciding factor, as these are the building blocks for a career in IT. ?The syllabus could be updated more frequently to include emerging technologies like Cloud Computing or AI/ML as core subjects rather than electives. Moving away from traditional rote learning toward more project-based learning would be beneficial. More frequent industry guest lectures would also bridge the gap between academia and corporate life The exam will be I would rate the difficulty as moderate. If you stay consistent with your lab work and internal assignments, the end-semester exams are quite manageable. The technical papers (like Mathematics or Architecture) tend to be the most challenging.

Around 70–80% of students from the course get placed through campus recruitment drives every year. The average package ranges between 3–5 LPA, while the highest package can go up to 8–10 LPA depending on skills and performance. Top recruiting companies include TCS, Wipro, Infosys, HCL, and other reputed firms. A good number of students also secure internships in companies related to their field, which helps in gaining practical exposure and industry experience. The common roles offered include software developer, data analyst, trainee engineer, and support roles, providing a solid start to students’ careers.

Placement in my college are very very average. I say below average because the placement average package of average 500 students was around 4 lakhs. And there are more than 10,000 students in my college. So the placement is very low. And the highest package for BCA, was around 10,00,000 and engineering around 20,00,000. An MBA was also around 13 to 14 lakhs. So the placement is very bad in my college.
