Remarks

The way that jac delhi conducts counselling is really simple. First it conducts 4 primary rounds of counselling. Then 3 internal upgradation rounds. Normal gap between two consecutive rounds is 3 weeks approx. I applied through OBC outside delhi quota. Although outside Delhi quotas doesn't do much. Jac delhi has 3 institutions under it DTU NSUT AND IIIT DELHI. For eligibility you require 75%> marks in 12 standard. But for IIIT delhi there's one more condition that specifically in maths you require more than 80 marks. I didn't get any seat in the first 3 rounds. In 4th I got production engineering in DTU. But then in internal upgradation round 1 I got promoted to mechanical in NSUT. And then in internal upgradation round 2 I got promoted to ELECTRONICS AND COMMUNICATIONS (INTERNET OF THINGS). So here the real key is to somehow aquire a seat in the primary rounds. After than you may recieve a good promotion in internal upgradation round.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

I first received mechanical engineering and then got promoted to EIOT. I choose EIOT because it got more diverse fields and placements. It skills you in ECE with a good touch of INTERNET OF THINGS. For every 10 students we got 1 faculty. So it's pretty nice. Interaction is more organic and natural. If you're in NSUT then you are somehow always busy in exams and assignment. And their level of difficulty is kinda good.

Internships Opportunities

2.5

NSUT isn't good at internships. As it's a government institute. So most student have to hustle on their own for an internship. You need to make projects. Have to maintain good grades and your resume in other activities should be good too in order to get a scholarship. Things like attendance, discipline and all.

Placement Experience

4.5

The placement eligibility basically starts from 3rd year or 6th semester. Before that you need to do internship for a semester for grades. Basically in 5th semester you need to do an internship. Last year a total of 400 companies visited NSUT. And their packages varied from 3-5 lac per annum to 50-60 lac per annum. The placement rate in NSUT is very high. Higher than IIT delhi. In my branch ECE. The placement rate is 95%. Although it varies in lower branches. But NSUT has a good environment of coding. So many lower branch students learns coding and applies for tech or software companies and can recieve a package as good as a CS student.

Fees and Financial Aid

To be honest NSUT's fee is relatively high than other institutions like IIT's and NIT's. 202000 approx. per year and then hostel fees too. NSUT provides a couple of scholarship programs but honestly they're not that handy to a normal student.

Campus Life

4

I don't have much idea about fests because due to this pandemic season there hasn't been any. But NSUT hosts great variety of fests as per previous year experiences. Famous bands and comedians or personalities come to visit during these fests. NSUT's library is decent it's in admin block. Same building has GYM in it and other sports accessories a floor down in that. It has 3 massive grounds/stadiums for football and other running activities. Basketball courts. Cricket grounds and a lot more. Classes happens in smart hall and damn that hall is good. AC TV projectors and all. It's that good.

Hostel Facilities

3

Hostel room provides a fan 3 plug ???? sockets. 1 led and 1 tubelight. An almirah a window. A bed. A table and chair. The room is good enough for a single person I mean it's more than you'll need. Hostel mes ???? is good enough. A breakfast with tea or coffee as per your choice. Lunch at 12/1. Then an evening snack at 5/6 pm and then finally dinner at 8/9. As per food quality it's decent. The variety of snacks is good. From omelette to noddles to pastry's and a lot more. For hostel registration you need to apply first online for hostel. But if you're from delhi then forget about hostel. You won't get any. Only outside delhi students are likely to get a room in the hostel. The hostel fee is 29000 persemester. I mean it's kinda affordable tho.

The placements of MAIT are decent as compared to market conditions. But the data shown on website or availble at various platforms is not the reality. The mass chunk of students who get a job are placed under and around 6LPA package.

Course Curriculum Overview:

When it comes to curriculum everything us fine accept 1st year curriculum. My branch is ece in 1st year i have to study chemistry and physics which is no use for anybody in future it is just waste of time pretty outdated. For 2,3 and 4th year curriculum is far better than what it is in 1st year. Odd semester starts form August and after 2 month we have to give midsem exam.1 month after midsem we have to give endsem. There is very short time period between midsem and endsem examinations.Even semester starts form January everything is same as that of odd semester.

Placements are good in DTU. Usually a student is eligible to sit in placements from 4th year. Last year 325+ companies visited the campus like google, abode, Amazon, Microsoft, zomato, samsung, maruti suzuki, etc. They all have made 2050+ offers. The highest domestic package was offered by Atlanssian of 82.05LPA. The overall average package was 16.71LPA. The average package of my branch (Production and Industrial Engineering) was 12.34LPA. And in tech branches like CSE, IT it was around 24-25 LPA. Almost everyone is allowed to sit for placements. In PIE branch around 60-65% of student got placed in on campus.
