Remarks

I took a girls quota, which you can check at the end of every cut-off list. I got a 1% increase in my final percentage (which was cs, a language & two among physics, chemistry, maths). There is a hype of north /south campus, Pros - living in a crowded area with more people of your age group and more exposure concerning everything taken into account from people to places. Cons - higher charges for everything as it is a hub for students. I decided to make it to a good college irrespective of campus. Options were Keshav Mahavidhyalaya and Dduc, both were famous for cs & would have good faculty but Dduc has a new infrastructure too. So I decided on Dduc. Admission process-when I cancelled my seat from Rajguru college, a cancellation fee of 1000 was, deducted & immediately I registered with dduc & now on verification day, I was required to fill a form and get my documents verified it just took 15-20 minutes and I got the admission.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

I chose this course because of my interest in coding and majorly scope in cs. The course curriculum is good and is updated according to the innovations in languages as well as in this spere and I myself came across the B.Tech curriculum, it is somehow related in terms of subjects. Teachers are all good and are always there for us. Even teachers in schools gave us some topics we were familiar to do by ourselves but teachers here understand that some students don't even have a cs background and teach us everything from scratch. Exams were held timely, teachers gave us assignments for internal marking and final exams were Open book examination(OBE) for sem-3 and for sem-4 it was Assignment based examination(ABE). We also prepared projects the same way we would have done if the situation was okay alas it was not that much exciting.

Placement Experience

4

Third year students can seat for placements under some criteria which is decided by the placement cell of the college which is operated by college students under the guidance of some teachers. I'm planning to go into management in the technical line.

Fees and Financial Aid

You may also issue laptops from college but that is when you have AECC subject as evs ( which is either in sem-1 or sem-2 ). Scholarships can be taken easily as college mails students every time with proper information about how to avail one if you are not checking the notice boards. The fee for computer science Hons is between 36k & 37k and that is reasonable due to the proper management of computer labs.

Campus Life

5

DU is all about fests- college fests, societies fest, departmental fests and you are open to attend any college's fest under DU. Fests are like festivals that experience cannot be explained in words (what not food fest, dance fest, games fest what else do you want!) All the books referred according to the course curriculum are available in the library ( you just need to reissue them after a span of 7-14 days ). Sports complexes and gyms are open for students with all the essentials. There are various societies which you can join according to your interests whether it may be dancing, singing, writing, entrepreneurship, acting, photography, working for an NGO, working in a placement cell, etc.

Other Applied Colleges

Shaheed Rajguru college of applied sciences for women | B.Sc. (H) Computer Science

I was influenced by the good faculty (knew from my school seniors) and infrastructure of my college.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum consists of relatable topics and interesting ones as well this is what quite influenced me to take this course. We have labs which help us learn how to prepare various organic compounds which are used in many day to day products . The course also has a 4th year research program. There should be more equipments in lab for the research. The frequency is good for exams being conducted and there level is also quite good

The students become eligible for the placements provided by the college in their 3rd year, while they can pursue internship offered by the college in previous years. Average sized companies visited the campus with lots of students being placed for jobs. The highest package I am not aware of but lowest was of around 300000 pa. I plan to pursue masters after my graduation degree.

Students become eligible for campus placements from the 6th semester. I don't know a lot about campus placements but I know that there is a training and placement cell in our college that provides good packages to many students. Some students got more than 7lpa last year. I will be doing my Post graduation after college and will make a career in academics.
