Remarks

1.I applied to Christ University and Government college of Ludhiana wherein I was cleared and got selected. But I wanted to pursue my degree at Delhi University. 2.There was a 1percent concession in cut-off given to girls in some colleges of Delhi University. Atma Ram was one of them. So being a girl, I availed myself of this opportunity. 3.Admission in the entire DU was dependent on cut-offs. My course that is Maths Hons had 95percent in the 3rd cut-off. I secured 94.75 best of 4 subject percent. So I took admission to this college shifting from Kamala Nehru. 4.There wasn't any counseling day. But we talked to our personal counselors before making an informed decision in which college to go to. Also, We watched rankings and referred to websites and youtube videos for transparent reviews.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

Having a keen interest in mathematics, I decided to do specialization in this by pursuing Bsc Maths Hons. Also, The science faculty of Atma Ram Sanatan Dharma College was excellent as I have heard and now witnessed too. There are many Ph.D. teachers. Though economics teacher is not that good my course teachers are great. In this online mode too, We have regular classes and we use classroom apps for assignments and tests. The term exams were held in online mode. There were open book examinations. The exams were difficult in the 1st semester but how difficult can an open book exam be. We were at home in comfortable settings with our books and Google so exams were easily done this way. In the second semester, Exams didn't happen. They were assignment-based. So everyone was easily passed. Moreover, there are 19 members in the maths department and Currently, there are 89 students in maths Hons. So Faculty-student ratio is 19:89.

Internships Opportunities

5

Every Year there is INTERN'O FEIRA launched for 1st-year students to get exposure by doing small internships. As it would also be helpful in resume building. So many companies came to this annual internship fest providing various types of internship opportunities like Machadalo, Bajaj Capital, Money Roller, Fampay, AdmitKard, Unnati, etc. Even I worked as YOUTH LEADER at ULEAD in UNSCHOOL for 2 months wherein I got 3000(approx). It honed my leadership skills and given me corporate world experience in the 1st year. There are many content writing jobs for all years that don't provide any stipend but one gets a certificate or LOR. I worked in the media department in Astorianz Industries as Content Writer for 2 months which also shaped my personality. Also, various marketing internship opportunities regularly come in WhatsApp groups that provide a performance-based stipend. Other more good internship opportunities are provided by the Placement Cell of Arsd and Their social media handles keep on updating.

Placement Experience

4.5

Placements are satisfactory. Big companies like Genpact, KPMG, Ernst & Young, And indigo airlines employ around 30-35percent of students. Also, 80percent of students get recruited through campus placements at Arsd. The highest Package was 7lakh. Whereas the Average package is 3.5 to 4LPA.Around 40 to 50 companies visit the arsd campus. Students getting a 9+ SGPA get placements. After BSc Maths Hons, I will give IIT Jam and hoping to do MSc Maths from any reputed IIT or NIT.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fees structure is quite economical. It's Rs.12075in total per year. Yes, The college provides financial assistance to very economically weak classes. But, there is not any scholarship provided by Arsd. Jobs are provided on a continuous basis to the 3rd year students. The placement cell is active. Every year around 80percent of students get recruited through campus placements at ARSD.

Campus Life

4.5

The campus life of this college of South Campus is Amazingly Fun. There are many fests too like TIDE(a very famous one for art and craft), Pic-16Rainbow fest Cultural Fest),TASVEER (photography fest) ,SANGHARSH (NCC fest) ,COMPHORIA'21 (online fest for commerce association)etc. Fest season in the entire DU is around Jan-Feb.In its spacious library, there are 115000approx books and journals with 6 sections. There is a sports complex containing courts for basketball, cricket, hockey, football, chess, carrom and table tennis. There are labs (chemistry, physics, computer), gym, cafeteria, medical facilities, wifi campus, and auditorium. That's why this college has one of the best infrastructures in the entire Delhi University. The food of canteen is healthy and good. Its location is near metro station and various pg's. There are 19socities aimed at holistic development of the students like Rangayan (Dramatics society), Stellar(Fashion society), Pixelation (photography society) , Enactus, NCC, NSS.

Other Applied Colleges

Government College,Ludhiana | Bcom

As i was more inclined towards mathematics so i decided to opt for maths honours in DU.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum consists of relatable topics and interesting ones as well this is what quite influenced me to take this course. We have labs which help us learn how to prepare various organic compounds which are used in many day to day products . The course also has a 4th year research program. There should be more equipments in lab for the research. The frequency is good for exams being conducted and there level is also quite good

Placement Experience:

The students become eligible for the placements provided by the college in their 3rd year, while they can pursue internship offered by the college in previous years. Average sized companies visited the campus with lots of students being placed for jobs. The highest package I am not aware of but lowest was of around 300000 pa. I plan to pursue masters after my graduation degree.

Students become eligible for campus placements from the 6th semester. I don't know a lot about campus placements but I know that there is a training and placement cell in our college that provides good packages to many students. Some students got more than 7lpa last year. I will be doing my Post graduation after college and will make a career in academics.
