College Life

It's a very good college, with extremely good faculty members friendly and helpful. It has a library well equipped with a variety of books including reference books. Students taking admission should be of science background and have a minimum of 60% marks in his 10+2. Many scholarships are provided for students who cannot afford them. The placements are also good.

The semester took place at a 6months interval with 15days holiday after the exam. Odd sessions start from August till December and even semester from January till July. With helpful faculty, you could easily pass the exam. The practice of different question sets and previous year questions made us easier.

As a Trainee company hired during the internship. Students are allowed to do internships provided by Internshala and the college also provide different internship opportunities. A stipend of 2000 is given. Projects were also done by the students during his fourth year.

From the 7th semester, students become eligible for campus placement. Different companies visits, 2-3 offers were made among which is the best student selects. The highest package of 5lakhs and an average of 3 lakh is offered.

Different types of scholarships are provided namely Swami Vivekananda scholarship, Oasis for OBC student, Jindal scholarship, Minority scholarship etc. Students who cannot afford college help in getting loans, they leave a reasonable amount of charges from fees. Students are allowed to give the fees after the due date without any charges. Different companies from different sectors come for campus recruitment. College offers both on-campus as well as off-campus. Different companies such as Pinnacle, Indo-shell private limited, Reliance, Amazon, Endurance etc.

There are groups on Facebook named 'SVIST' and other departmental groups are there which everyone could follow and the college website is 'www.svist.org' which everyone could visit. Different technical activities, tech feast, the cultural fest takes place. The cultural fest takes place in February and the Tech fest in April. Different sports event takes place, all the streams take part in different sports to become number one, a 'Student of The Year' is also awarded for the best student in all fields.
