Anmoldeep Singh's Review On Baba Banda Singh Bahadur Engineering College - [BBSBEC], Fatehgarh Sahib

In board's CBSE (pcm) i had scored -70.2% and in IIT JEE i had scored 31 marks, i opted for this particular college due to its great environment and it was my wish to study near chandigarh.

My college is affiliated to PTU, and its course structure is good in computer science and engineering , they had taken care for all the essential languages needed to learn to become a good engineer like -c,c++, java etc, in first year also their was applied science which was revision of science and maths we had studied in our XI and XII.

Yes our college provides internship, so that we do not need to search hear and their for trainings and experiences they provides us on campus training , but i don't know about stipend as i m in 2nd year only, this internship process start from the starting of third year.

Their are enough placement facilities available time to time for 4th year students, and their are many Recruiter's like- L&T infotech, ibm, hcl, hp, indian army, indian air force, mahindra, wipro, cisco , oracle ,bsnl etc and other too like many other companies which are according to the branch are their for placement but civil placement is little weak in our college.

Their are many events which are celebrated in our college, like TECHFEST, its a teachnical festival in which their are many technical skills events, fun & frolics, star nights etc, we even have fresher's party, and marathon's athletic meets, religious programs etc.

Fee structure is even great which is another great point of this college its B.tech fee structure is 50,000 per semester and 19000 per semester of hostel including messing and laundry. No addition charges is applicable , even for low categories like SC/ST- the fees is only rs 9000 per semester.

Yes they provides facility for scholarships every time, like sikh minority scholarship and many other's types of scholarship's too, college even give scholarship to meritorious students.

Exam structure was good enough as we get almost 2-3 leaves after each end semester exam's so revise and prepare the subject well, even in internal's. They provide 1 internal exam per day with no college classes, just give exam in morning and go, so that we can prepare for next subject, this technique is very good, although exam pattern is not upto the mark.

I don't know about other stream faculties but computer sci & engg. Faculties are great and talented with minimum experience of 5-7 years, they explain in very decent way and co-operate every time . However first year teacher's teachers of applied science department are little weak in their concepts, but computer science faculty is the best and strong part.
