Remarks

Applied for Manipal, vit, nmims, bits, jee, srm. I chose vit over Manipal, srm and nmims because of the reviews of the people having studied there and after a lot of research and over bits, nit, iiit because I wanted to stick to cse which I was not getting in them. The admission criteria were based on jee percentile and board marks of 12th. On the counselling day, we had to give the options of our preferred stream and later if it is available we will get it.

Course Curriculum Overview

I chose computer science because it seemed interesting and is the growing branch. Faculty student ratio would be 1:50. All the teachers are mostly with PhD degrees. And the teaching method differs from teacher to teacher. Term exams were timely and it is not difficult to pass.

Internships Opportunities

I did an externship course by smart bridge and we had a project related to machine learning. There were also companies like Microsoft and oracle. Companies like PayPal, Amazon, Infosys, Wipro, TCS, cognizant, Accenture, Honda, ford, etc. There are also international internships. An average of 10 years is placed in them every year.

Placement Experience

The placements are good. This year 81 students got packages of over Rs 25 lakhs. In cse the placement percentage of vit is 100%. I plan to go for a master's degree. Almost all companies visit. Students become eligible in the 7th semester for the placements.

Fees and Financial Aid

The hostel fees depend on which room we take. There are scholarships that students can avail. There are also options to give free laptops to students who require them. Since I am in my 2nd year, I dont have a job as of now.

Campus Life

Since I have not been to the campus yet, I dont know these details. There are a lot of sports like swimming, badminton, tennis, basketball and there is a gym too. It is ground too. There are many clubs and groups like the white helmets, zero bugs club, android club, trek club, etc.

Hostel Facilities

The registration process for the hostel is on the portal of vit and non ac rooms are affordable and reasonable but ac rooms are quite expensive. The menu depends on the mess we take since we have options like veg, special veg and non veg.

Specific schedule is not followed in college regarding the academic and co curricular activities. Sudden decisions will be taken by the management which is a bit difficult for the students and faculty too. There were times where faculties are fed up of management rules and decisions.

Placement Experience:

1.) Placement begins from the pre-final year and we are allowed to apply for companies from the final year. 2.) Around 70% of the class gets placed in reputed companies with an average CTC of 4-8 LPA. 3.) Along with core biotech companies, many IT companies are also hiring students at a very decent package. 4.) I plan to pursue a master's after this course.

Placement Experience:

Students become eligible for placements in their final year. Many reputed companies like accenture, TCS, zoho, HCL, etc. visited and many of my friends also got placed with a good package. The highest package from my batch was 50lpa in company called motorq. The average package is around 4lpa.

Placement Experience:

The students become elgible for placements right from the 5th semester of their course work. The students who have no standing arrears become elgibile in the first place. There are many companies visiting the college where Infosys, Cognizant, Virtusa are the mass recruiters. The are many other companies like TCS, Wipro, Zoho etc. visiting the college placement drive. On overall 90% of students gets placed every year. The highest package of 25lakhs per annum was offered by amazon for 3 students. My plans after getting degree is to get placed in any of the company.

It's a good college for me.

Placement Experience:

From final year students and 3rd-year students eligible for attending the campus placements in this campus so many companies are there like Wipro, wheels India, so many IT companies in this average package starting as 18000 to 40000 students should have a minimum percentage of 6.80cgpa eligible for placement I completed the degree I got a placement on IT company.

Balanced Engineering Journey At Vit Chennai

I applied for SRM, once considered admission in LPU but finally chose VIT due it's reputation and strong placements. Other colleges which I applied for required strong jee scores for admission. Is VIT worth it

From th start of the 12th class I wanted IIT and my second option was VIT over NITs because it has very good facilities. I didn't get good marks in my JEE advance so I choose VIT. I had given exams of various other colleges like Kalinga Insititute of technology(KIT), SRM, BITSAT etc. i chose VIT as my college was because it is one of the most renowned colleges of India. VIT has a tag value of its own and it does make a difference if you add "VIT" as your college in your resume. The admission process of this college goes by giving an examination called VITEEE which is held after jee mains. The syllabus for the same is similar to jee mains and the good thing is it has no negative marking. All 12th pass students with a minimum of 60% are eligible to write this entrance test.
