Md Minhaj Khan's Review On Asansol Engineering College - [AEC], Asansol

I took the WBJEE and secured a rank of 15610, thus through counselling I got into AEC, as it was the best in my domain and the also it has been well known for Computer Science and Engineering.

Well the college doesn't officially provide internship but MAKAUT does and they send multiple students to companies with fair stipends but unfortunately I don't know the amount.

AEC is really well known for the placements and Job Opportunities. Multinational corporations like Microsoft, TCS, Infosys, Cognizant, Wipro, Coca Cola and many others. The placements record of AEC speaks for itself. It has been always more than 85℅ for any branch. This year itself TCS recruited more than 30 students for packages ranging from 3-7 lacs and so did Infosys and many others for various packages.

Our College has been host to many fests and has also organised multiple Workshops. One of the most noted is the Annual Fest where everyone is welcome to showcase their talents. One of the Most awaited event in the fest is Voice of AEC which basically is a singing competition for students of AEC where the best singer is awarded the title of "Voice of AEC". The latest workshop held was by the Entrepreneur Development Cell or EDC.

The fee structure is as assigned by the MAKAUT board and Government for private institutes. The fee is basically in three parts, first 40000 for Tuition Fee, Second 1000 for Exam Fee and Lastly 4000 for other Miscellaneous items. This is for each Semester then as we go higher up the years additional amounts are there depending upon the department of the students.

Well the college does offer multiple scholarships mostly for Minorities and Poor Students. And the college does accept loans which have been provided by the state government of the respective students. So there is no problem financially.

The Exams were conducted as assigned by the MAKAUT board is Board Exams every semester end and there were two separate class test conducted for every subject and two lab test followed by Viva Exams for every Laboratory subject. The Exams were well conducted with a proper environment. Although sometimes study became a pressure making the day hectic only if one was lazy.

The Admission Procedure was basically conducted by WBJEE through their counselling where the seat was confirmed and the rest of the procedure was conducted at the college premises. The Administration were quite friendly and also helpful while filling out the forms. The form was quite simple but detailed enough for sufficient information about the student.
