CAT, 91.94 % I chose this college because of its reputation and it was giving me an opportunity to gain multinational exposure through Dual Country program. Gaining international exposure is what i was looking for.
Internships Opportunities
Yes, College provide numerous opportunities for internships under different sectors, for different roles. As a student of Dual country program I was interned in Dubai which was very helpful for me to gain direct exposure to corporate world. There were internships with stipend as high as Dirham 6000 with overall average stipend Rs 15000. But there were some but very few internships with no stipends as well.
Placement Experience
There is a placement committee which is almost completely run by students of the institute. The committee ensures that everyone is placed in the institute. The placement starts from November itself with most of the students getting placed in the first week itself. However, companies come till march and april. The roles offered are diverse and average package goes around 9 to 10 lacs per annum.
College Events
There are many committees in the campus which organise something or other throughout the year. There are cultural events which organises many events like singing competitions, fashion show competitions, dancing competitions and celebrate every festival with great enthusiam. There are business events like case study competition, debate competition, MUN etc.
Fees and Financial Aid
Scholarships are available to high achievers in the campus. The institute had a tie-up with OBC bank whose branch is just near the campus which provide a decent interest rate if someone is opting for loan. The rate is lower than the market rate. I had availed the loan from OBC which was giving loan without collateral and lesser rate of interest.
Alumni/Alumna
IMT has a huge alumni network with over 10000 alumnus connected. They are working with different organisation and whenever needed almost all of them are ready to help.
Exam Structure
Exams structure is quite chilled out as the credits are distributed to lots of activities. For a given subject credits are distributed among presentations, class participation, project work and final exam. So students have to be active throughout the term rather than just final exam. Exams are more practical in nature making the process easier if a student has given enough attention in classes, presentations and project work.
Faculty
The faculty of my college is highly qualified and have decent experience in the corporate world. They also have high networks in the business world due to which we get fantastic guests from the corporate area. Since they all have different teaching styles, some students find some faculty not interesting, but we have options of faculty as well. If a student want to study under some other faculty he is given option for that too.
