PUNJAB ENGENEERING COLLEGE (COMPLETE REVIEW)

It was through my jee main score through the JOSAA portal. There was a cutoff for my colleges, different cutoffs for different branches, for eg, my jee main rank was 16568, and cutoff for my branch ELECTRICAL was till 21k for general quota. Counseling was online as in that process we have to assign different colleges and branches priority-wise. And then branch and college were allotted from them after 1 week . Then we had to report to that college with documents required at that college. Details like scorecard birth certificate.

My course was Electrical engineering. I chose the branch because of two reasons. First of all my rank was such that i can choose only mechanical or electrical.I chose electrical because it was circuital and i just loved circuits . But I was looking for computer science but my rank fell short of that. Our branch was divided into two sections: Group A and Group B each of 60. basically, two sections were there. The syllabus was the same but faculty teaching the same subject was different sometimes. The faculty was well experienced and all of them had masters or phd in that subject. There was different teaching method, some through presentations,some through boards Exam pattern was divided into mid sem and end sem exams, but their quiz assignments and practicals in between semester exams combined to get a total of 100, and aggregate was given acc to relative marking.

As internship was compulsory for the 6th sem. Different companies come across the 5th sem for the internship opportunities. Companies I mentioned in placement review s same companies come across and give placement opportunities in internship itself

Companies come in 6th sem for internship opportunities and after reviewing them they give preplacement offer ,students ggets assured job before 4th year only. Then after in 4th year companies start coming for placement offers .companies like microsoft ,collegedunia ,sew,fieldassist .amex jp mirgan,gold schazman and many other good companies come across cycle.I got job itself in collegedunia

Fees were like per semester fees like general students have to pay every semester but students with quota have to pay like an alternate semester. Hostels fees were like 60000 per year but mess fees have to play differently. Different hostels have different fees. I recently got a job in Collegedunia itself . The placement office in our college gives many opportunities with a good salary. There are many internship opportunities also in the 6th sem as the internship is compulsory for the 6th semester.

Life at the campus is very enjoyable. Various clubs like saasc, dramatics. Just apart from studies, there has been a focus on each aspect of personality. apart from these clubs, there are different technical clubs like robotics and Ieee. There is a special focus on sports. each sport has its own sports ground like football ground,criclet ground, basketball court. etc various tournaments were held Various social groups like NSS and rotary clubs are there

Hostels are like government rooms, not good infrastructure the meal was good and the mess was clean and hygenic and night messes were there. Single seated rooms were available and each hostel has a fun activity room , table tennis facilities
