Remarks

The minimum percentage should be 60% overall and in Mathematics, Science and English separately. The admission process was simple, you'll get an ID and password as soon as you register, then you can easily apply for admission and all the other details are also available. After registration, there'll be an interview and the result will be given shortly. Then you can confirm your seat.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

I chose this course because I have a great interest in computers and this course fits the best for me. For every 6 faculty members, there are 60 students. And there might be more than 200 faculty easily overall and more than 10000 students. The faculty is post graduated and teaching methods and good. Due to covid exams were late and online too.

Internships Opportunities

4.5

Infosys, Wipro, Capgemini, TCS offer a reasonable amount, roles are different in different companies. The software developer is one of them. I didn't get placed yet so I don't know about it that much but placement is great.

Placement Experience

4.5

3rd semester onwards students are eligible for placements. Companies like TCS, Wipro, Capgemini, Infosys visit every year and offer between 1.5 lac to 3 lac per annum are offered. More than 90% of students get placed. I'll get placed and then continue my master's degree from distance.

Fees and Financial Aid

60000 for a hostel, 35000 for mess and 94000 for academics (BCA), Scholarship is also available for students whose parents income is less than 2 lac per annum. Jobs opportunities are great, mostly all the students get placed, the stipend is around 15000-20000.

Campus Life

4.5

Because of covid, there were no fests for this year. Books are easily available in the library, there are 2 libraries and are sufficient. AC classrooms are available and 1 green board and 1 digital board is also there. All the sports are available and many clubs are for different curricular activities. Abacus, Ninad, E-cell are some of the clubs.

Hostel Facilities

4.5

The faculty is well qualified. The meal is given 4 times a day and quality is also good, the menu is set for a week and repeated the same. You can register yourself on the portal easily. PG's are available right in front of the university.

Interview Experience

4

Topics were based on your 12 courses. I wrote about the process few steps back. Criteria are mentioned on the website and should be followed. It wasn't that difficult, you can pass it easily if you qualify the criteria.

Placement Experience:

Placements at Greater Noida Institute of Technology (GNIOT) are decent but not exceptional. Students usually become eligible for campus placements from the 5th semester onwards. Companies like TCS, Wipro, and Infosys visit the campus, along with some startups, and offer roles mainly in IT support, development, and trainee positions. The highest package offered is around 8–10 LPA, while the average package ranges between 4–5 LPA, and the lowest is around 2–3 LPA. Approximately 60–70% of students get placed, while others either go for higher studies or off-campus opportunities.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I choose the BCA program because of my interest in software development and web technologies. The curriculum’s focus on core subjects like Java, C++, and Database Management Systems (DBMS) was a major deciding factor, as these are the building blocks for a career in IT. ?The syllabus could be updated more frequently to include emerging technologies like Cloud Computing or AI/ML as core subjects rather than electives. Moving away from traditional rote learning toward more project-based learning would be beneficial. More frequent industry guest lectures would also bridge the gap between academia and corporate life The exam will be I would rate the difficulty as moderate. If you stay consistent with your lab work and internal assignments, the end-semester exams are quite manageable. The technical papers (like Mathematics or Architecture) tend to be the most challenging.

Placement Experience:

Around 70–80% of students from the course get placed through campus recruitment drives every year. The average package ranges between 3–5 LPA, while the highest package can go up to 8–10 LPA depending on skills and performance. Top recruiting companies include TCS, Wipro, Infosys, HCL, and other reputed firms. A good number of students also secure internships in companies related to their field, which helps in gaining practical exposure and industry experience. The common roles offered include software developer, data analyst, trainee engineer, and support roles, providing a solid start to students’ careers.

Placement in my college are very very average. I say below average because the placement average package of average 500 students was around 4 lakhs. And there are more than 10,000 students in my college. So the placement is very low. And the highest package for BCA, was around 10,00,000 and engineering around 20,00,000. An MBA was also around 13 to 14 lakhs. So the placement is very bad in my college.
