Remarks

I had got Btech computer science in Maharani college, I preferred Miranda House over it as it is among the top colleges of India I got admission under the OBC quota with 95 percentage, The cutoff is of best four subjects and my course closed at 95 for obc in 3 merit list, so for getting Bsc Physics Hons in Miranda House you must have around 95 percentage and there are no such age criteria but after class 12 only anyone can apply for admission. The admission process is good and I didn't face any problems the faculty there was very helpful and clears all doubts regarding the admission. You have to go there once you cleared the cutoff then verify your documents and fill anti ragging and all other form and at end fee submission and I didn't face any problem in all these procedures, and the student have to do all these on their own during the process parents are not allowed they have to wait in the lawns of the college.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

I choose this course because I have interest in Physics from starting I was also the subject topper (Physics) of my school. The faculty here is very good and helpful and teachers are always available for the students to clear doubts and for extra classes also. I am not sure but the ratio is 1 teacher over 8 to 10 students approximately. Most of the teachers had done their PhD and had teaching experience of 6 7 years minimum. No doubt why Miranda is among the best college teachers never skip a single class and if needed take extra classes to clear the doubts we have tuts classes especially for clearing the doubts. The exam is semester wise and the exam is not so easy scoring in them really require a serious study time and also there are already the students who had 95+ percentage so competition is also there and overall if you also study 1 month before the exam you can score pretty well in the exams and clearing them is really not such a big problem.

Internships Opportunities

2.5

Other courses like BA English, economics have internship opportunities that are paid and companies like Indian Express, Amar Ujala provide them internships and they had work like managing the data or writing articles and some other companies also came snd hire students and provide jobs like content writing with stipends varies from 1000 to 5000 or even more. In Physics Hons the internship is about research on your area of interest and they are unpaid mostly.

Placement Experience

3.5

The college has a different society for the placement also called as." The placement cell"The students can seat for the placement from there 3year also. The companies that came for placements are Wipro, Microsoft, Indian express etc. Due to covid, the placement made these years are very low as compared to earlier it is 138 something which is around 1600 last year. The highest paid is 20 lakh while in Physics Hons it is 7 to 8 lakh package only. The average package is 5 to 6 lakh. The placement is not so good in DU as most of the students opt for higher studies as plans, not jobs. I will not go for the placement and will pursue my higher studies that are Msc from Du or any other institute and that is what most of the students do.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fees of Miranda House is comparatively very less than other colleges. While other colleges have fees in lakhs/sem, the fee here is around Rs 19600 only. Also, the college provides hostels but they are also on a merit base and only a few got them but outside there is a lot of affordable pg from 7k to 15k how many facilities do you want and can afford all ranges of flats, hostels and pgs are there. In college fees, students also get relaxation according to some policies. Some people also got scholarships like inspire scholarship and many more. Few also get money to buy books under the scholarship programs. In Physics Hons specifically, the jobs are related to research so most of the students went for higher studies MSc through DU or IITs, few seats for job interviews under campus placements.

Campus Life

5

Being a Mirandian is a tag that everyone wants to carry, it is among the top colleges of India and life there is really different. Being a girls college Miranda always teaches you about your rights, and shape you into a better human who knows equality on every basic gender caste religion everything. The fest of DU are famous and we have fest named as TEMPTEST. From actors to famous singers like jubin, darshan Raval Ankit Tiwari, papon etc are invited to the fest which normally happened in February or March. The library had a lot of books and you can go and sot there anytime, you will get all courses related and extra books thereof famous writers. The classroom has a lot of clean and well arranged benches and fans and open windows. Some rooms have acs also. Miranda House have a lot of societies which students can join and the college is also active in sports and have basketball, archery etc. Some societies are Women's Development Cell, Adwitya, Girlup etc.

Other Applied Colleges

Maharani college, jaipur | Btech computer science

Because I got MIRANDA HOUSE, and it has NIRF ranking 1 , therefore I preferred MIRANDA HOUSE

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum consists of relatable topics and interesting ones as well this is what quite influenced me to take this course. We have labs which help us learn how to prepare various organic compounds which are used in many day to day products . The course also has a 4th year research program. There should be more equipments in lab for the research. The frequency is good for exams being conducted and there level is also quite good

The students become eligible for the placements provided by the college in their 3rd year, while they can pursue internship offered by the college in previous years. Average sized companies visited the campus with lots of students being placed for jobs. The highest package I am not aware of but lowest was of around 300000 pa. I plan to pursue masters after my graduation degree.

Students become eligible for campus placements from the 6th semester. I don't know a lot about campus placements but I know that there is a training and placement cell in our college that provides good packages to many students. Some students got more than 7lpa last year. I will be doing my Post graduation after college and will make a career in academics.
