Through the process of WBJEE ( West Bengal Joint Entrance) counselling, one can get admission to the college. Generally, there are three rounds of counselling and one can get this admission to this college through any one of these rounds. Sometimes if seats are available then the college authority provides another decentralized counselling for the West Bengal Joint Entrance Examinations passed students. For marks criteria, one student should have at least 45% of the total 12th marks. It is for the SC and ST categories. Apart from the counselling process for admission, every student has to submit their government documents and academic details for example Aadhar card, 10th mark sheet, 12th mark sheet WBJEE rank card, income certificate, residential certificate. For every six months, there is a semester exam held by the University makaut and during the current semester, there are four continuous assessments including assignments, Viva, written exam etc. For practical exams, there are two exams per semester which include Viva, written format, project and the lab. At the end of each semester, 70% of marks are valid for the semester exam held by the University and 30% of its marks depends on the college exams for theory papers. There is a good placement record for the computer science engineering students of this college. The placement starts from the sixth semester onwards. Almost 70% of the computer science and engineering students are placed in IT companies. Many of the passes out students got jobs in TCS, Wipro, Infosys and Google as well. The highest placement record of Computer science and engineering holds 12 lacs per annum and the average placement record holds 2 lacs per annum. There is an association for the sake of students in the College. Besides this, there is a coding club, cultural club. The coding club organises several coding competitions as well. The cultural club was organised several fests. Apart from that, the websites that are run by the students are available for the cultural club.
