Remarks
I filled the form of gossner college and Dr Shyama Prasad Mukherjee University. But finally, I took admission to Dr Shyama Prasad Mukherjee University. The admission process was too easy. Only the required documents are needed to bring in the department and the Head of the Department asks some questions testing the IQ of the particular student. After that, he/she gets selected based on a selection list published by the university according to their marks.
Course Curriculum Overview
I choose English Hons. because according to me, this is the course which provides a great knowledge of English language and literature. Faculty members are the best. The teachers provide a good quality of education. The exams are mainly conducted on time. If the course is running late, extra classes are arranged to manage the time.
Internships Opportunities
Companies like TCS, Wipro, etc offers internships to the students who are from the Tech. background. In my course, generally, NGOs give internship opportunities with a good offer. They generally give various projects which enhance our skills and experience.
Placement Experience
For getting the placement jobs, the student must be in the final semester. There are several companies like Piramal Foundation Wipro, etc who visited the University Campus for selecting the students based on interviews. The average package offered by the companies ranges from 3.5L-5L per year. The student shall get above 60% marks to appear for the placements and get the selection.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fee is very nominal. It's approx 3000 per semester which is affordable. The Scholarships are also being provided by the university for the OBC, SC and ST caste. Now if talk about financial assistance, the university provides a cut at the fee for the poor students who are financially weak.
Campus Life
Various fests for the freshers and farewells for the seniors take place in the university. Various kinds of sports activities take place here. The library where is fully equipped with books and we can read the daily newspaper here. The classes are well equipped with essential resources. Also, groups like AJSU and ABVP are made for the welfare of the students.
