Remarks

One of the main reason is FMS has a good alarm network. So, that is one thing. 2nd thing is I talk to some of my seniors and people who were already in the college, They told me about there experience and that was one thing that motivated me. I think the 3rd was location, the location is very good.

Course Curriculum Overview

5

It is a 2-year course and it's divided into 4 semesters. Each semester has around 8 subjects and for the first year the courses are divide between different subjects, for example, we have courses marketing, finance, operations all of these. Later on, in the 3rd & 4th semesters, we have options to choose specific subjects that we want to learn for such as just finance, just marketing or a combination of different subjects and so on. The faculties are very experienced and most of them have in teaching with FMS for 10 years or more than 10 years, for long period. Mostly they teach us as presentations and all and we are given assignments on a regular basis individual as well as group assignments.

Internships Opportunities

4.5

In summer insternship also, we have companies from different but there are more companies in the field of marketing in summer internship. And you have a lot of S & M, lot of companies from other sectors, lot of general management companies also. Overall we have also other companies in the field of operations, consulting roles, Finance.

Placement Experience

4.5

We had companies from lot of different fields, from the field of BSSI, FMCG, from IT and other fields as well. This time I think lot of focus is in IDM systems and lot of companies in the field of E-commerce, IT and all. But there were companies from all fields.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Per semester the fee is around 49000 and for 2 years it is around 2 lakh. And I'm not sure about the scholarship but there could be one.

Campus Life

4.5

The FMS is not a refinery campus so most of the students, live in flats and PGs or they are all nearby. There are other facilities also available.

Admission

It began when the application is opened and I think they opened somewhere in the 2nd half of the year I think around October-November. Then based on a CAT score and other grades' 10th score & 12th score, we got calls. In the month of April, we had our interviews and group discussions, and based on that we got the invite to the college. The GD was around 10 minutes long and there were 8-10 participants. In the interview process, they try to understand the reason why I want to join the college and what are my long-term goals, academic background, and so on. I had been asked questions related to my undergraduate subjects. Why you want to join FMS. In the group discussion, I think there were around 2-3 moderators per group and they were basically faculty members only. We had given a topic and 10-12 minutes before the discussion. Most of the people got the chance to speak. In PI for my case, there were 3 faculty members only and it was a very calm interview, there was no such thing as a stress or panic interview. They basically want to do understand my approach.

Placement Experience:

Placements at my college are average, students become eligible from around the 5th semester. A few companies visit for recruitment, offering roles in entry level positions. The average package is moderate, while higher package are limited. Around 70 to 80% of students get placed. I plan to focus on skill development and explore better opportunities after completing my degree.

The placements of MAIT are decent as compared to market conditions. But the data shown on website or availble at various platforms is not the reality. The mass chunk of students who get a job are placed under and around 6LPA package.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is very relevant as it contains useful concepts which a management student should know. And the concepts are very comprehensive and easy to understand. Examples are given in the curriculum which prepares us for the real world. Some teachers use the presentation based teaching which is good and should be encouraged. The exams are not that difficult for one who is atleast decent in studies.

Placement Experience:

Placements are available in college, the drive is quite extensive, everyone is made aware of the choices and options and counselling is present too. It is from the third year, students are eligible to apply for placements. Companies and organisations take part such as Niti ayog, Times, Geostrata, Prajatantra foundation, etc. Those who desire usually work on their CVs, keep on doi internships and then get a placement. The packages are not that impressive to be honest.

The course offers many things for students interms of their further academic pursuits or any placement they are looking for. Talking about the areas of improvement and teaching methods there are none. The exams of the respective subject are to happen. They take test 1 , test 2 and there is final exams.

I got a seat in Ramjas College. It is a north-campus college. The infrastructure is too good compared to the remaining colleges. The teaching also going well but I faced some language problems. I'm from south India so I don't understand Hindi properly. But here mostly they teach in Hindi only and English is used very rarely.

I don't know a lot about campus placements but I know that there is a training and placement cell in our college that provides good packages to many students. Some students got more than 7lpa last year. I will be doing my Post graduation after college and will make a career in academics.
