A ragging free college with fantastic ambience( this is the finest feature. The ambience!!!) Absolute high class professors with adequate infrastructure. College has by number among the highest placement offers in Kerala. Hosts national level tech fests and helps incubate startups and innovations.
Course Curriculum Overview
Extraordinary faculty. Fairly good curriculum. Faculty student ratio is nearly 30:1. All professors highly qualified with PhDs from premier institutions. Moderately difficult to pass compared to other universities
Placement Experience
Fairly good placements with annual package slightly on the lower side. Companies like TCS Infosys Wipro oracle visit the campus. Certain companies from middle east also offer fat packages. Those are generally real estate companies. Core placements are nearly nil with mechanical and electrical being the worst of the lot.
Fee Structure And Facilities
Fee very low so no need of assistance. Reserved students can avail government sponsored scholarships. On campus jobs are not available. Financial assistance is available for all those who are below a certain level of income. Students from reserved communities have to pay reduced tuition fees which is also government subsidies. The annual fees is barely 12000 including all costs. Government funded institutions has this benefit of very affordable education.
Campus Life
Life at campus and is the best aspect of GEC. Absolutely serene campus that itself is a beauty to behold. Lots of club and societal activities. The canteen and campus holds a lot of lively experiences to all those who get the opportunity to experience it. A huge campus with lots of diversity filled with people of myriad cultures is the place to be for a person of early twenties.
Hostel Facilities
Rented accommodation 3000 per month food excluded. Accommodation at hostels in college is allotted based on food and distance of home and the food is absolutely awesome for non vegetarians and not so good for vegetarians. The hostels in college are really cheap with monthly cost of less than 3000 food and all charges included. There are also rented accommodations nearby where we can get single or multi bed rooms. College hostels have 2 bed rooms. Spacious and ventilated.
