Remarks
Good reputation for B.Com. In old times when I took admission in 1987 (though I mentioned 1990 in Enrollment Year as there is no option for period pervious to 1990) we need to visit each college and submit separate form in all such colleges. The whole exercise was very cumbersome and expensive. Now the admission process in DU is online and students need to fill only one form online, which is quite easy and simple. I preferred Shaheed Bhagat Singh College as it had very good reputation for Commerce courses that time.
Course Curriculum Overview
Since I had Commerce Subjects during my Senior Secondary classes in School, hence I choose B.Com in SHaheed Bhagat Singh College. Faculty was excellent at that time and exams were generally conducted in the month of May (annually held as no semester system was introduced that time)
Internships Opportunities
No internship was available at our time .
Placement Experience
There were no placements offered at our time in college.
Fee Structure And Facilities
There was no campus jobs officers at that time (in 1990) in DU. Fees was very nominal and there was a mechanism whereby all needy students got scholarships and fee waivers. I know many students who got fee waivers as they were from economically weaker background.
Campus Life
College Life was full of fun, though we studied also. Library was ok but contains all books required by us. Annual fest was held regularly. There were basic amenities in classrooms though at that time those were the norms. In DU, even now also same old type of class room and furniture is there. This i can tell as I have seen admission process of my daughter.
Hostel Facilities
Cant comment on this as I didn't required to stay at Hostel.
Admission
In my time (1987-1990) there was no system of Group Discussion or Interview or Written Test for the admission in College. So I can't comment on the topic as to What topics to include in GD, Interview questions or test pattern.
