My BTech- CSE, NIT Delhi

There are a total of 31 NIT institutes in our country and NIT, Delhi is amongst the top names among them. NIT, Delhi was second for engineering in 2020 rankings of the famous NIRF group and it has been given status of National Importance Institution. It is also approved by AICTE and UGC agencies. The institute gives admissions on the basis of JEE Main score through the JOSAA counselling similarly like other NIT institutes.

Choosing the Computer Science branch for Engineering was the perfect choice for me due to 2-3 major reasons ; Firstly my interest, secondly its career diversity and thirdly CSE being the most demanding branch of BTech course. The programme is of 4 years and students get to learn about different engineering fields across the 8 semesters of the course. The faculty at NIT Delhi also helped me to learn about practical implementation of the theory which was also helpful for me during my placements.

All students of my known participated in the 2020 internship round and their offer's were in a time period of 5 to 8 weeks. Many top IT firms participated in this round too and they gave students pretty exciting work offers to work with.

Our CSE branch was the most successful one during 2020 campus placements as the highest package of INR 32 Lacs and the most packages were both offered to it. Our branch was able to record an average salary of INR 11.2 LPA with the best recruiters being Wipro,Samsung,MRF, L&T Infotech, Microsoft, Capgemini and Tata. The overall annual package for BTech programme was INR 9.8 Lacs per annum

The total fee I paid throughout my 4 years was INR 1.57 Lacs. This fee is lesser than the general fee structure as I belong to the SC category.The total fee for the General/OBC students was higher than my fee as It stood at INR 3.21 Lacs. There were different grants for the students fulfilling their respective criterias. All things related to the scholarships were mentored by the scholarship cell of NIT Delhi

I feel that I am among those lucky students who get lucky due to the hard work that I became a part of the prestigious NIT Delhi. The campus life of our college can be considered the best thing as there were famous activities like Arts events,cultural fest, convocation ceremony, technical fest and sports competitions. The student council and students council were the prominent mentors of these things as they used to all such things. There was a large auditorium, canteen and playground also which were used for their respective fields

Yes, I also applied for hostel residence while pursuing my BTech at NIT Delhi so that I can catch up with all different activities and events of our programme. The institute gave pretty good rooms and we had uninterrupted water supply and power supply also. The food served to us in the mess was prepared according to the nutritional needs of students and it was also good in taste. The total capacity of our college hostel is 250+ which is shared among both genders according to their ratio.

To become eligible for admissions to NIT group, candidates must hold a minimum of 75% marks in their XII board exams. The final selections are based on the merit list of JOSAA counselling which is based entirely on the JEE Main score of the applied candidates.
