Remarks
I had applied to Atharva college of engineering and VIT. VIT has been my dream college and I, fortunately, got in. I got in through the institute level quota because of my low scores in CET. The admission process for me was pretty much hassle-free. I just had to submit the required documents and on the same day, they issued me the college id.
Course Curriculum Overview
I had decided to get into engineering even before I gave my HSC. VIT has always been my dream college since it is one of the best institutes in Mumbai. Honestly, the infrastructure of the college has always mesmerized me. Talking about the faculty-student ratio, I'd say it to be 1:2. The quality of teaching has been extempore, and hence there aren't any difficulties during exams. Because of the timely doubt-solving sessions held I've never faced any issue while exams.
Internships Opportunities
Since I have no genuine idea about the jobs offered I wouldn't prefer to forge a review here. I myself haven't been interested in how placement things function since I don't plan on hunting for a job right now.
Placement Experience
VIT does give its students a brilliant opportunity to shine through. The students are eligible for a place right from their 6th sem ie third year. Companies like TCS are so popular around the campus that everyone wants to get into it somehow. Honestly, I never had plans for placements hence I didn't really keep myself updated with more information about it. I plan on pursuing MBA after my degree. Since I have no much info about placements I'd rate it as 1.
Fees and Financial Aid
My program costs 1,37,000. Since I belong to an open category. They have fee concessions for students belonging to OBC, SC, ST, etc. Students can very well avail themselves of the scholarship based on their merit. I haven't applied for on-campus jobs, but VIT provides students with co-curricular and extracurricular opportunities.
Campus Life
Vidyalankar does organize many fests throughout the year, one of the biggest fests is VERVE. It is completely run by the student council, which in turn allows you to develop your management and soft skills while dealing with performance pressures. It is a great thing to add up to your cv, you get to learn a lot about how things function in and out. It is well equipped with sports amenities. Talking about in-class teaching, they provide us with theoretical as well practical knowledge.
