Entrance Preview

I appeared for GATE. I scored 89.66 percentile score. I want to learn automobile engineering. This institute is in Mumbai and that is near to my place so I choose this college.

Course Curriculum Overview

Curriculum is good and designed as per industry requirements. Different laboratories are there to go with research activities. These laboratories are funded by top companies of India and world. Many laboratories are developed by Indian Institute of Technology - Mumbai.

Internships Opportunities

Yes, I selected for an internship at BARC. They don't provide any stipend but college gave me stipend because I am a GATE qualified candidate.

Placement Experience

Placement was best. I selected for two companies. And almost all students selected in companies. I also got a call from different companies after finished my study. Placement starts in final year and sometimes it starts in pre-final year. We got two companies in our pre-final year.

College Events

Rangwardhan is the main event. Under this event, many sub-events are organised. Events start in mid-December and main events are celebrated in February. Technovanza is a technical festival celebrated in December every year.

Fee Structure And Facilities

As a GATE qualified candidate, fee is less among all institutes. Fee for M.Tech student with open category is around 24000 rupees and for caste students that is very less. 25 sanction seats are there for Mechanical Engineering specialisation in Automobile Engineering.

Exam Structure

Exam structure is standard as all institutes have. Mid-semester exam is there to assess your knowledge. They standard 100 marks exam are there at the end of the semester. Markings are CPI and SPI base and total 10 points are there in an exam. 6.5 CPI is considered as first class.

Admission

I applied on a basis of GATE score. Then, I passed through different counselling round. I did not select in a first round of counselling but in a second round I selected. As per my marks, I selected. But these days, admission procedure is changed and one single body is responsible for admission at institute.

Detailed and Honest Review of VJTI - One of The Oldest Engineering Colleges in India.

Talking about other colleges I applied for, I registered for JOSAA and CSAB both. Through JOSAA I got the IIT Dharwad, since I got the BS plus MS programm there I regestered for CSAB, through CSAB I secured seat into iiit Bhopal cse. Because it is a newly established iiit, it does have poor facilities. Then through CAP counselling I got seat at VJTI. Then Ieft iiit Bhopal and joined VJTI. Today I think that, the decision taken by me was absolutely right. Apart from this I also applied for IIST Thiruvananthpuram but due to my 12th board score I could not make it. To do engineering in Maharashtra, MH-CET is compulsory and every student here has come that way. Rank of 3000-4500 is enough for general category students to secure admission in VJTI's E&TC branch.
