- VJTI is one of those colleges that doesn't just allow students scholarships but also chance to earn as well.
- Not many colleges in Mumbai has hostels but VJTI has both boys and girls hostels.
- Alumni bas of the college is as good as IITB.
Dislikes
- Renovation is definitely required as from exterior the college is quite torn.
Course Curriculum Overview
Electronics and Telecommunication also deals in machine learning and therefore it's better than normal electrical engineering. One red flag though as students are judged more on theory rather than practicals.
Placement Experience
Placements begin from August every year and in a month or so all are placed. Siemens, CMI and many other core companies along with electrical appliances maker like Kent, and Maharaja too are college placement partners for our and Electrical engineering branch.
Fees and Financial Aid
VJTI is the most economical college with a fees of just 90000. SC/ST scholarships are also quite high as they just have to 20-30% of what general category students pay. One of my classmates pay just 22000 as his yearly fees as he has enrolled under Special backward Class.
Campus Life
Ranga fest which portrays our Maharashtra is my favourite. Our campus is wide and long and have sporting facilities better than many. Ground is used for playing football and cricket both. It also has volleyball nets and a basketball court as well. Classrooms are air-conditioned and library is stocked full of books.
Admission
To do engineering in Maharashtra, MH-CET is compulsory and every student here has come that way. Rank of 3000-4500 is enough for general category students to secure admission in VJTI's E&TC branch. Mybl rank was 3325 and therefore i got a call from VJTI and I immediately applied and was confirmed in 48 hours.
Faculty
Faculties here are very easily approachable as they never think that taking classes is their only responsibility. Always on the lookout for students who are capable of writing research papers as once that is added in CV, placements become that simple.
Night Life
Our college location is such that can walk through the campus from both the local stations be it Wadala or Matunga. Every other minute we have train for Dadar and therefore people of western lines can also easily commute. Cafe Mysore and Cafe Madras are two of the most famous cafes close to the campus and both are quite reasonable too.
