Remarks
My admission process took place through an online portal in 2020. At first, I applied for St. Stephen's but wasn't able to make it there 'cause I couldn't meet the eligibility criteria. Delhi University announced the cut-offs and I was eligible to take admission to this college 'cause of my 12th board results. So the next step I took was to apply for Motilal Nehru College (Morning) with the help of the ST quote and then opted for BCom Hons. in order to fulfill my entire admission process.
Course Curriculum Overview
I chose Bcom Hons. because I like commerce and would like to explore further in its studies. The students are larger in number as compared to the no. of teachers, there are like 45 students in my class. The faculty is quite strong and helpful as compared to the number of students. The term exams were conducted on a semester basis and it wasn't that difficult to pass if you know the syllabus and course really well.
Internships Opportunities
There are no formal internships that are available in our college but there are times when faculty mails us the link to different internships available through Internshala. In that fair, we can check employees ourselves and look for internships that suit us and give stipend as well.
Placement Experience
For the placement, Xara, Wipro, and E&y were the top recruiters. More than 100 students were recruited in the audit and taxation department with the highest package going up to 12 lakhs and the average package being around 4.5 lakhs per annum. Almost 70% of students were placed from the fifth semester. I think I will be opting for college placement as well while continuing with my higher studies.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fees structure is quite reasonable here as its worth is much as what the course and its teaching facility provide. There's a lack of info on financial assistance and scholarship but I'm aware of the fact that help is always available in nearby areas of the campus. However, I feel that there is no need for any financial assistance or scholarship as the fees themselves are very low.
Campus Life
There are plenty of variations of books and study materials in the library as it is quite huge. The classrooms require a little bit of cleanliness but have ample furniture. There are a variety of extra-curricular activities to take part in but there isn't much for sports. The annual fest takes place around October called Vaayu with the help of all the cultural societies in the college.
