COLLEGE EQUIVALENT TO IIT

My college Is best college. I really feeling proud by being a student of Jadavpur University. The one who studied or studying here never going to forget this college for there life time.

I had appear for WBJEE in 2014 and my rank in WBJEE is 63. During counselling I got Jadavpur University in my 1st round only. I only prepared for this college only.

Computer Science is one of the hottest branch in Engg feild and in Jadavpur University it allows us to explore our mind more in the field of engg and go through the depth of the course. Jadavpur University is having Ph. D opportunity in computer Science branch to have a research over it. University gives us more than enough.

Yes, our college provides internship. As I am in the 2nd year right now so I'm not fully aware of the companies came but from our senior students we heard that around 5000-10000 stipend ig given to the students while doing internship.

Placements are best in Jadavpur University. In placements Jadavpur is not less than any IIT. 1 Crore and many students qualifies for more than 25+ lakh offer. The average package here is around 5 lakh and highest package is from the current year which is 1. 1 cr.

Many functions are celebrated. The two of the fest are celebrated here are Srijan and Sanskriti. Srijan is celebrated in our salt lake campus and in Sanski competiton such as Mathemagician, Robowar, Code Breaker, de-Bug, Robo soccer an many others are celebrated.

Fee Structure is somewhat unbelievable because yearly fees is just 2400 and for hostel we have to pay a whole amount of around 50/monthly. In West Bengal infact in India it is the cheapest college you ever heard. In any other college in west bengal no college is having such type of fees even 10X fees.

Campus Life is really best time of my lifetime. I really enjoy a lot in our campus. According to me gender ratio is around 2:1 overall but by taking my CS branch in compare it is 4:1. In laps the professor help us and each and every apparatus are available. Somewhere debates are done but I had not seen.

Hostel Facility is really disappointing but we can say that in such a low amount we are getting more than enough. Hostel fees is 20/monthly. The hostel are not properly maintaned. The walls of the rooms are dirty and we are having a big problem during rainy season because of rain sewage.

The senior in our college are really helpful but only after the fresher party. Here senior are taking introduction and not behaving properly before fresher party but after that they live like friends and helps us in each and every problems.

In Jadavpur University exams are frequent we have each semester in 6 months in which we have 2 class tests between each semester. Odd semesters are of longer period and but semester are as usual. Class test are frequent and carry 30% marks weight age and semester weighs around 70% for calculating the final result and we also have viva.

The faculty members in our college is from reputed colleges and are having a wide knowledge in each and every feild. Although all faculty members are not good. Some new faculty members not as good as the old one's. The old faculties are very good and they gives us idea on doing new researches as well as in getting a startup. The faculties live by being a fried for students and help us alot in our problems regarding any topic.
