Remarks
I gave the BBA IPU CET exam held in the year 2019. I got 445 marks out of 600 and secured 56th rank in the entrance exam. At the time of college preferences, I chose this college only because of its high demand among Management students of Delhi. In the process of college preferences selection, one has to give preferences to the various colleges under the IP University according to his/her rank. But it is normally said that if you get a rank below 1000 in the entrance exam, you have a greater chance of being selected in the college. The admission process of the college is very smooth. One just has to carry all the required documents with him while admission after paying the fees and you will get free in almost an hour. Additionally, the counseling conducted by the institute is also very informative and interactive.
Course Curriculum Overview
I chose this course because I wanted to be an aspiring manager in the future. The faculty in the institute are very friendly (strict sometimes) and provide one with quality education and support; thereby maintaining a faculty: student ratio of 60:1. They also provide mentoring sessions on a weekly basis for students. Most of the teachers in the institute hold some kind of Postgraduate diploma in their specific fields. The teaching method is also very interactive and we also have industry visits as well onece in every month. The examination process is as follows: Internals (25% weightage - thrice every semester) External (75% weightage - once every semester) The difficulty of the exams conducted is moderate.
Internships Opportunities
I got the opportunity to intern with Outlook Publishing Pvt. Ltd. as a Marketing Intern and I enjoyed my tenure with the company and helped the company in assisting them in every possible. Some of the companies available for internships were Outlook, Reliance Nippon, some YouTube Channels, and many more. The various profiles to choose from were Sales, Marketing, Finance, HR, Operations, Content Writer, and many more. During my internship, I was given tasks related to sakes, Customer Relationship Management, Public Relations, etc. were very amazing to do.
Placement Experience
As I said that I am in my last year and will be applying for placements next year. But the average package for the BBA program is around 3.5 lakhs. The various profiles offered are Finance, Marketing, HR, Operations, Analytics, and various other fields as well. Students become eligible for placements in the 6th semester. And the percentage of students getting the placements is around 75-80%. My plan after getting the degree is to apply for the placements and do MBA as well side by side through the open.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fees are high as 1,01,000 which I just paid for my last (3rd year). Even the college increased the fees from last year by 5,000 which they normally do every year. But fortunately, I got the chance to pay my fees in two installments which was quite supportive. I am in my 3rd year so I will be applying for various jobs through campus placements next year. But I got my summer internship from the institute in a well-reputed company. The college does provide some financial assistance to the backward casts people and scholarships to the deserved ones after their admission.
Campus Life
There are various fests which are organized by various societies of the college. One such fest is "Commfiesta" organised by our commerce society in February. Also there is a fest organised by the University which is "Anugoonj". The classrooms are well equipped with AC's, Projectors, Podiums to speak and also are quite large. There are various societies dedicated to extracurricular activities such as Swarag - Music Society, Urban Hopper Crew - Western Dancing Society, and many more. Also, there is a basketball court, badminton court, gym, ground to play both cricket and football and also the Stands to come, sit and watch any sport being played. There is also a Society dedicated to social services which is the Rotataract Society.
