Remarks
I applied for Delhi University colleges, Narsee Monjee and Christ University. After clearing the NPAT and CUET for the respective colleges, I was eligible to join NMIMS if I wanted to. Christ had another interview round. But Delhi being the most feasible option in terms of commute, reachability and fee structure, got admitted into S.G.T.B. Khalsa College, DU. I got into the college through their fifth general cut-off which posed 95.75 as the Best Four Mark, which helped me join in. There was a counselling day, but I wasn't able to attend that due to some reasons.
Course Curriculum Overview
Keen interest in Accounts and Economics in high school landed me here in B.Com (Hons.) Not too sure about faculty:student ratio. The faculty is a mix of young blood and experience. They pose a really calm and friendly nature throughout the campus. Term exams took place every semester, and to talk of their difficulty would not be fair, for I have taken them just twice- once OFFLINE and once ONLINE. To talk about it, it was moderate.
Internships Opportunities
CollegeDunia - Content Writer. Many are under-process and some are outside my interest range, so not familiar with them. Just in the first week of the internship, so really excited about it. Got Articles to write, edit, research for it.
Placement Experience
The Placement Cell of our college is good, that's what helped me get this internship. From 3rd-4th Semester, students are eligible. Top consulting companies like Deloitte, KPMG, Bain visited and took a good chunk with them. I'm currently preparing for CAT'21, so looking forward to pursuing MBA in Finance-Analytics.
Fees and Financial Aid
Being a government college, tuition fees remains pretty constant from Rs. 25000-30000 annually. The boy's hostel was under construction during my offline stint in college (it's open now), so PGs were the next feasible option which cost around Rs. 15000-20000 monthly, with other charges. No scholarship as such, there might be room for assistance but I'm not too sure about that.
Campus Life
Attended only the Diwali Mela of two three colleges on campus, till Annual Fests came- COVID struck. College Library is good, and notes-journals are available on campus. AC classrooms for certain courses, including ours; but Internet-Jammers in college vicinity. The second largest ground in DU, great societies, a good sports culture.
