Remarks
I had applied for joSAA but didn't attend it since I had only 98 percentile for which I know I won't get cse, then I went for casb still didn't get cse course in NIT Trichy. Then I applied for vit usually counselling will take place on campus but I had in online due to pandemic, you need to have 65% in your 12th for you to attend counselling then the day came where you have to select the course you want, but it comes with a drawback you need to select the course based on your priority list if you get a seat in any course in that list you won't be able to change in future, for example, let's say you give VIT Vellore cse category 2 as your first priority and VIT Chennai cse cat 2 as your 2nd priority and VIT Vellore mechanical as last. Now as the counselling proceed they will check if they have any seats in your first priority lets say you didn't get your first priority but got your 2nd priority now it's not possible to change to vit Vellore mechanical even if you have a good viteee rank.
Course Curriculum Overview
I took cse because I love coding and the curriculum is okay I am a 2nd year student I don't know much but in your 1st year you will get a lot of subjects which has nothing to do with your course just like every typical engineering college and you will end up thinking why do I even took engineering don't worry you are not the only one. Once you entered 2nd year you will get a core subject but still, sometimes I wonder how these subjects are related to cse(only a few though). all faculty are highly qualified but wait a second it doesn't mean everyone is good at teaching.don't worry that's when seniors come to play since we have FFCS we can choose our timetable and staff but don't ever think you will end up with good staff and good timetable that's not possible you will get it once you get here, get ready to join 1000s of WhatsApp senior group and get ready to face 1000s of message notification daily. We will have exams every month but never expect holidays. The teaching method is quite good though.
Internships Opportunities
I haven't done any internships in vit but VIT does provide a lot of internship opportunities including Microsoft and many more. Make sure to check your vit mail regularly so that you won't miss anything. You will get a lot of chances to interact with the foreign universities as vit has an international program so even if you miss the class never miss to check the mail regularly.
Placement Experience
I have no idea about placement but heard it's super good even then it won't come and sit in our hands we have to work just like the students of other colleges. Just because VIT has 100 percent placement it doesn't mean we will get placed as well. if you are a non cse student staring working hard because most of the students end up in the IT sector, not the core field.
Fees and Financial Aid
vit don't have any quota but they have category 1- category 5, as you go down the category fees will increase. cat 1-2lac,cat2-3lac and it goes on till 5 lac, to get VIT Vellore cse cat 1 you need to have a very good viteee rank. The fees are definitely high but the exposure you get is worth the pay but don't expect that in online classes and don't expect fees reduction as well even if we have classes online
Campus Life
The campus life is on its own league, modern library, unique engaging club, a different mess for specialized food, natural aesthetics and a lot more. Okay now, this is what I have seen in reviews when I was about to join the college just like how you are seeing now. I am a 2nd year student and I have never seen even the college entrance. campus life will be good I guess.
Other Applied Colleges
