Real DCRUST

I applied for B.tech in CSE in DCRUST,Murthal.My Admission to this college was through HSTSE Counselling(Online Counselling), My first option was to choose YMCA over DCRUST but unavailability of hostel at YMCA after first year land me to DCRUST Murthal. I availed KM(Kashmiri migrant) quota to take admission in this college. In KM quota we are ranked on the basis of class 12th marks. The last person to get CSE Branch have 89% in class 12th.If you are not of KM category then you have to secure 91+ percentile in JEE to get admission in CSE. There are two rounds conducted by HSTSE and Open counselling rounds as per empty seats left.

I choose this course because of my keen interest in programming and computers. Also the course can land you a Good job with handsome salary.These were the two reason to choose this course.In my college faculty to student ration is 7:132 which is satisfactory. Our faculty is highly skilled and maximum are having PHD degree. They have academic as well as industrial experience and guide us properly. Their Lectures are of great quality. We have two sessional(internal exam) and a main exam in each semester and are easy to pass if one study properly.

We have two type of internship one is on campus which is mostly fidelity with stepend and on the other end students bag google and microsoft internship to through offcamp internship. Being a 2nd year student i am exploring more opportunity for learning skill to bag a better offcampus internship.

Placement at our college is good. 80% of the student get placed here. We have TCS as our mass recruiter. We have highest package of 65 lacs this year and average package of 5 lacs. Probabily Every CSE student get placed easily here. We are eligible for placement from 7 and 8th semester. Many other companies do visit our college to. I plan to do Masters after completing my course.

The fee is not much High as other colleges and university. I would rather say each penny you spend here is worth it. Annual fee of our college is 51k and hostel fee is 6k per month which is affordable.There is no such Hike in Fees in our college.There are many scholarships provided to sc,ews and to the girl child. Also Top 10 percent of academic Topper of every sem are awarded with scholarship. Campus jobs are good TCS is the mass recruiter at our college.Being a 2nd year student i am hoping for the best.

Our college have two main Annual Fest, One is Cultural fest which include dancing,singing and various other activity and we have the technical fest under the name of Technova where student of our college as well as affilated college participate. We have a huge Library with thousand of books and E-Books to help us enrich our Knowledge. Many Journal are also present in our colllege library. Our Classroom have all the basic furniture and a black board. Some classroom are also equipped with digital classes. In sport we have Basket Ball, football ground, Tennis court and other Indoor sports too. We also have a Gym. In Social Group we have Sunshine, Lisoc, Swag ,Pratibimb, Rebels, Goonj, Ska and Thinkbot as our main Social Groups run by student.

Our hostel room is very spacious and have attach almirah and balcony. It also have a charging point. We are provided with bed, Study table and chair. We also have Common rooms for watching movies. All Hostel are equipped with indoor games like badminton and table tennis. Hostel is also equipped with Wi-Fi. All basic facility like water, bathroom with geysers and laundry are available. Hostel is protected with a security guard and CCTV camera. Quality of mess is awesome,we have good meals with sweet dish. I would suggest hostel over PG.
